I've never actually looked up other kerli forums. Thank goodness I didn't o.O have fandoms always been obsessed with calling celebrities "____ mother" or is this a new thing? It's just so creepy.

I'm glad to see people returning too! Even when I joined, it wasn't super busy here but I think there were still a good amount of regulars who posted daily. I miss that.

It's hard to think about stuff to talk about nowadays. I was in high school when I joined and now I've just graduated uni so I feel like I'm a completely different person and I'm guessing a lot of the other regulars have had similar changes?

I definitely feel like a different person than when I joined, but I don't think that means there's nothing to talk about anymore. They're just different things than before.

Iridescent_Revival_<3, same here, when I first got into kerli's music I was finishing my Intermediate studies (fancy term for 11th+12th grade in my country) and now I'm halfway through my masters. My younger self seems so far away :/ I don't feel like I've had a major change, but more like.. shed some pieces of myself, does that make sense?

I think it's gonna be her best video yet, honestly. Maybe the song not, but the video, yes.

Good to see that here's some life again

I've moved house every year for the past five years and I've been taking my Kerli posters with me to each flat, but my Love is Dead poster was past saving (due to damage from moving so much) so I had to put it in the recycling even my partner (who tries but struggles to understand what Kerli/ToL/moonchildren have meant to me over the years) was quite upset about it. I kept meaning to frame it but never got around to it. It's kind of a stupid thing to get upset about, but the release of Feral Hearts and the Confession Throne video kind of brought me back a bit. I've missed this side to Kerli so much.

Aww, I would be upset too.  I have no posters, but I printed out this image of Kerli in grayscale and tacked it to the inside of my cupboard door. I must have taken it off while cleaning or something and have idea where it is now :/

I had a dream I was talking to Kerli... So there were 2 versions of Feral Hearts - winter one and summer one - so she made 2 videos. The winter one is the one we all know, and the summer one has a slightly different music (like a remix or smthn), the characters are the same but they look different (mermaid has a pink tail etc).
The point is that you get to hear the second version only if you preordered the single. And I felt guilt in my sleep because I didn't. Go figure.
The thing is I usually don't buy singles. I buy the album. When it get's out. I've never preordered anything.
But when it comes to Kerli now, as she is an independent artist, she really needs the support. So that's probably why I should not wait for the album.

@Little Phoenix- Aw, I don't think you should feel guilty. Kerli probably appreciates any amount of support she gets The ones who should feel guilty are people who downloaded the leak without buying it.

well it didn't really leak, she played it live, and it wasn't supposed to be recorded but it was.... or something like that o.O

It's still the release of a song before she/her management have officially released it. I think she's mentioned on Facebook before that even songs that weren't technically "leaked" but were still released to the public somehow or made available to download are songs that she can no longer use and release herself.

I mean it's 21 century, every teen has a cellphone with a camera. Ofc someone recorded the performance, I'm actually surprised that it's not on youtube already.

It's a little ridiculous for sure. Like you said, it's the 21st century. It would be nice for there to be some revisions to music law to go with the updates with technology, etc.

I agree, I don't really get it either. I thought she did it on purpose as a marketing strategy to promote pre-orders. Kerli's management needs to get its self together. First they delay Feral Hearts & it leaks. Now this? Though at least it was only a live version that leaked and not the official. Who knows, it might still help sales since people seem excited to pre-order now.

Well yes I get if it was done to promote the song - but why stop it from being shared then? Makes no sense. o.O
And if it was not for promotion, why did't she play some other song, it's not like she doesn't have any other song to perform.
And she played raindrops -.- she has zillion better songs.

Oh and one other thing. I HATE when she performs songs that never get released in the end - Blue skies ahead, Dollface etc. I realize she thought that those songs would be released eventually, but not the best move to perform them before release.

It's not uncommon for artists to perform special songs, new songs, and cover songs at concerts. Performing some of those songs may be the only way to get those songs out to fans and it makes sense that they'd want to do something more special than the regular songs at a performance. 

The problem is when people do things like record those songs when they are told NOT to do so. There are many other concerts and other artistic performances (like plays, movies, etc.) where this is a rule or law. The music industry doesn't seem to be updating laws to go with the current times when piracy is the norm. It's hard to prevent these days. Plus, it's not like Kerli is the only artist who does this. I know there's a lot of great songs that Scooter performs at concerts, for example, that I'm just never going to hear because I can't go to Germany to attend one.

Music law and copyright infringement laws are seriously so complicated and insane.

Tarja performed new song that is going to be on her new album, first single. Her concerts are camera-friendly, and someone uploaded this performance to youtube and it's still there, and there was no fuss abound it.
So why is sometimes a problem to record not-yet-released songs, and sometimes it is?
I mean even with Kerli. Blue skies ahead can easily be found on YT.

I guess it depends on the artist. I've only been to a few concerts that allowed recording. 

I'm not a big fan of remixes either. I was hoping she'd release some information on the new single. Isn't the album itself supposed to be out in 5 months? Doesn't seem to be a lot of info coming out since Feral Hearts.

It puzzles me, how much trouble she has had with leaks over the years :/ I wonder if she played the latest song live to get a general idea of how fans would receive it.

Haha, I was wondering that too They should've put shadows around the letters instead, it would've helped make the letters more visible.

Me too, there's very few remixes I actually like. I would like there to be an ambient-ish remix though, it would be cool.  

I liked one remix - army of love centron remix, but I don't like the original song a lot so....

There's some remixes I do like. However, these ones all seemed pretty... forgettable. =/

They seem pointless to me somehow. Like bringing Feral hearts to Utopia era. And I was so happy she evolved from that sound.

I'm not sure. She posted the same stuff on her Instagram and what she did have in her Pledge Store for single #2 has all been taken down. No comments from her. At the same time though, I feel like it must be intentional. She officially "ended" the Feral Hearts era. It's hard to tell.

It still feels like the Feral Hearts era only just started. I've really been enjoying it with all the behind-the-scenes videos (which usually annoy me, to be honest) and all the visuals along with the song itself. I suppose I'm worried because if this era is really over, what kind of sound will her next era evolve into?

I would love to do another project with you guys, like when we made the book for K, and tarot cards. What do you think?

I'd really like that too! It's been a long time since we've done that and I feel like at least a few of us are pretty consistently active. It may not involve as many people as in the past, but a collaboration would be fun.

I think a project would be fun.

I'm in a much better position now to contribute properly to a project compared to earlier projects - that would be awesome.
