HELL TO THE YES.
i looove Emilie Autumn. she's crazy--but in a good way! xD her music is really really beautiful...my favorite songs have to be Manic Depression and Opheliac--they connet with me on a certain level and i really really love them. i did a project based on the song Opheliac in my art class--i made a little comic-type book illustrating the song.
i might be seeing her live in October. still freaking out about it, hahaha. her live shows are so visual--it's so amazing!!

Re: Emilie Autumn
I found out about her from here (and from those people in Kerli's chats - though that was probably you guys too though - who would ask Kerli if she liked her). She is... GAHHHHH.. insane.
Some of her stuff is depressing/morbid but she's so theatrical, I try to listen to it like I'm watching an act... That makes it easier to just enjoy it.

FLAG is the acronym and we all think it's Fight Like A Girl because she says it quite a bit.Lilee wrote:I like that she uses an array of styles in her music. I didn't really show that it the previews I put up though ^^; (I put up her fairy-ish songs).
I can't really pick a fav song by her, I pretty much like them all. I've been a big fan of her for a while now. Rumor has it she's working on a new album!
I really do wish she was more well known.

Re: Emilie Autumn
^She may be getting there, her North American tour is selling out fast. I really hope I like her new album. I'm not gonna hope it's good, that's guaranteed, I just hope it suits my ears! Nothing worse than drifting away from a once-favourite band/musician... It's like losing touch with an old friend, for no specific reason.
Her fairy songs sadden me... The contrast with her post-institution work is heartbreaking... Her honesty inspires me. Yup, I'm a muffin!

I tried...really, really hard to like her XD I do LOVE her clothing style and what not but I'm not too fond of her vocal style. Props for originality though!

I saw her image first, but completely fell in love when I heard I Know Where You Sleep and Marry Me <3
Re: Emilie Autumn
Gothic Lolita was the first song i heard <3
I'd also recommend Misery Loves Company and Thank God I'm Pretty. But to start, 4 O'Clock, for sure, for sure, for sure.
P.S. Also, the live version of Mad Girl, and 306 are great lyrics... Oh and the track 'unlaced' from her Laced/Unlaced instrumental album has some eeeeevil electric violin! Not to everybody's taste tho ^^,
Gah it's tough to pick just a few! XP

Re: Emilie Autumn
The best version of Mad Girl is the acoustic one on her deluxe edition of Opheliac
Laced/Unlaced is such a beastly album. Manic Depression ftw. I pretty much think everything from the Opheliac era is godly though xD
Have you guys heard this:
Definitely her best song eva lmao

Didn't know if any of knew of the t-shirts. Even though I hate the design, I do want the tea lmao

Re: Emilie Autumn
I saw those earlier! I adore the pale pink hair, but WAT is with the red knickers/thong-thing!?!?! ;_; Oh honey, NO!!!
It's such a bare set too... with a DISTINCT lack of a Suffer! They do have a lot of flying to do though so I guess it's fair enough...
Did you see the TV performance? I quite liked it! But then I'm always a bit 'YAYFIREOMGz!!!' ^^,

LMAO, yes fire ftw xD I wish she wear that wig during her performance. I really want HQ pics of her wearing it

I'm kind of burned out on her right now but that's sure to change when she comes out with her new album (She said 2011 so I'm thinking late 2012 >_>)
I love her music and style but not her personality.

I just keep coming back to her music. I've listened to the odd song of hers a few times and not been too keen, but it's still drawing me in somehow. I've just been listening to a few of her songs, and I am starting to fall in love with her music. All of the songs I've listened to so far today are coincidentally on her Enchant album. I think I'll be getting it soon ^^

You guys are amazing for helping me discover new artists I noticed how much you talked about Emilie Autumn being a great, inspirational singer and got curious. That's when I started listening to some of her songs. I think anyone who likes Kerli must instinctively have great taste in music

Yikes! Enchant is being sold for $100+ on Amazon o.0 I only spent about 20 on my copy. And you can't even be sure if you're getting an original (with the puzzle, which is not likely), the first re-issue (more likely, but still little chance) or the newest release from a Russian label (still legit though, I have a Russian copy).

Re: Emilie Autumn
Woohoo! I've bought Enchant! The only thing is, with the Christmas holidays coming up, I've had it delivered to my home rather than my flat here, in case it gets delivered late. So it might be delivered before I can get home. Oh well, if that does happen, I should only have to wait another two or three days.
I bought mine for £13 including postage. I'm not sure what edition of it I've bought, but I'll be happy whichever I get ^^
