There's so many talented people on this forum

So, there has been heaps of drama going on at school this past week, and it's been really saddening. Usually the best way for me to release my bottled-up emotions is to write songs, but lately I've been having a block. When Caroline told me that she was on a songwriting roll, I asked if she could write a song for me, and that I wanted it to be called "Panda Eyes". That was the only information I gave her, and she came up with a brilliant song, exactly what I wanted it to be about and say. What can I say? We just have a strong telepathic link, haha.
It's mainly Caroline's song, but I wrote the bridge (apparantly it's called a 'c-part'??). I'm also the only one with a copy of the lyrics, so that's why I'm posting it (:

I don't know where my inspiration came from for this one, in fact, I showed the first verse to two of my friends and only Caroline was able to make some sense of it! Not even me.. tut tut. (:

I still stand by what I said!!

I reckon it's about a girl who never was genuinely happy throughout her life because she never found out what she loved or was passionate about. Like she never found friends who fully understood her way of thinking. And her parents thought that she fit in with society all along when she really didn't. She just lived a life where she did nothing for herself, but did everything for other people. So, when she committed suicide, no one expected it to happen cos they all thought she was happy because she was making everyone else happy, which just made it hurt even more.

Well, that's my interpretation anyways. Other people might see it differently.

Another beautiful song My interpretation is similar to Caroline's: a girl who is living her life for other people. I think it sounds like her parents wanted her to do something she didn't really want to, like go along a certain career path, but she wants to make them happy so she goes along with it. ("Now they apologise for making you follow their dreams") Everyone has such high expectations of her. ("From the minute you were born you were told you were special") Eventually she becomes so heavy of heart and tired of having to be perfect and pleasing everyone but herself she commits suicide. ("...the diamond that they tried to make you be would shatter.")

So yeah, similar to Caroline's interpretation but slightly different. The lyrics have such meaning to them, I love them.
