It sort of has =/ I've seen a few designers "inspired" by her meat dress making dress patterns to look like raw meat. I think it's disgusting.

The dress or the knock offs? The dress is probably in the trash already and the knock offs are being made only to look like raw meat. So I doubt it

I know there are designers painting fabric that looks like raw meat. I'm not sure how many people are selling dresses actually MADE of meat, but I did see on the news some butcher shops putting posters of Gaga wearing her meat dress outside their shops to draw in business =/ I find both disturbing.

That just sounds really wrong too me...Ya, me to find it very disturbing

I don't like her. Only Poker Face, I listen to. Only when I have the mood. But it's unbelievable, how successful she became. So I'm a fan of her at least on Facebook. ^^

Most people love her or hate her, it's refreshing to hear someone say their not really a fan without ripping her and/or her fans apart. People seem to think her Little Monsters follow her blindly and think everything she does is brilliant/original

i watched a interview about her.she seems pretty nice girl.She seems more down to earth...mybe a little werid but more down to earth then other singers.

I DO like Lady Gaga very much. Her, Kerli, and Adam Lambert are like... my holy trinity of music. I like artists who know how to get creative with performances, who can sing live well, and stand for something above the music.

Lady Gaga, whether you like it or not, DOES stand for something. Not necessarily in her music (as of yet; Born This Way, her new album, is coming 5/23/11), but in her actions and concerts, and that gives her a lot of respect.

At every concert, she says, "I don't want you to go home saying, damn, Lady Gaga was f***ing amazing. I want you to go home and love yourselves, because YOU are f***ing amazing!"

She also helped repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in the United States and serves as an advocate for equality and a voice for the gays.

Okay, I'll stop ranting now. :3

OH. I will suffice to say that I know not everything she does is original, however, a lot of times she does give some credit to those who paved the way. I think her meat dress was original, and her early "The Fame" era was pretty unique, but since Alexander McQueen passed last year, she's pretty much only worn designer clothing.

I agree that Gaga's music doesn't necessarily stand for anything, especially the Fame era stuff. I love it don't get me wrong but Just Dance is just a dance record nothing more. I think as time goes on her music will grow and become more meaningful. the song Dance in the Dark is amazing.

I'd argue about helping repealing "Don't ask, Don't Tell", she raised awareness and she really has done a lot for the GLBT community but I think a lot of people give her more credit for the repeal of DADT than she deserves.

People act like Gaga goes around saying "I'm so original, look at me" but it's mostly people saying she's not original that claim that. When she came out she was different, she was doing stuff others weren't at that point. And yes she recycled trends and took from other artists and made it her own. She usually gives credit where credit is due. I hate when people say she's a copycat. Especially when it's in reference to Madonna because seriously Madonna's taken so much stuff from Marilyn Monroe it's ridiculous. And she's been sued for plagiarizing other artist multiple times. The only difference is the internet wasn't around in the 80s so it wasn't as easy to point out back then

I love gaga, but I think the Meat dress was a bit too much, I know shes different and that, which I like but she went too far with that dress, could you imagine the smell of the meat next to you slowly going off.

Some places are say its Namen, Idk I hear Madre but she's speaking German so that doesn't really make sense. I'm still not sure how I feel about her singing in so many languages on the album...

I don't know how I feel about it, I don't dislike the lyrics but until I hear the actual song I just can't image the sound

I used to absolutely love Gaga. But after a while, I just kinda stopped liking her music. I listened to it so much and really paid attention. Most of her songs are inappropriate. I understand 'The Fame Monster' was about fears, but I just don't like Gaga anymore.

Well partly the lyrics are bit cheesy but in overall there's an pretty message there. I can't wait to hear the beats, vocals and hooks. That's when i'll make an opinion of some kind

Ooh, I never posted on this thread. I love Gaga, and I think it's great that she's so popular because or in spite of the way she dresses. Also, because she's not "conventionally" pretty.
But I am so beyond sick of seeing comparisons to her for everyone.
I also hope the Kerli & Gaga fans stop hating on each other because neither Kerli, nor Gaga would want that.
I wish "Dance in the Dark" and "Speechless" had been singles.

Oh, and all the people that hated the Alejandro video--Have you ever seen Express Yourself by Madonna? You're probably too young to have seen it? Alejandro is very much an homage to that. (not a copy, an homage).

I hated this video when I was younger, but I like it now, and the message of the song. Madonna used to be pretty awesome.
(But I also like the Alejandro video, especially the choreography).
