That. Was. WICKED!

So today I saw "Wicked" for the 3rd time. It's AMAZING. It's a musical about the Wizard of Oz, but it shows how the Wicked Witch is good and the Wizard is bad. Very good. Today's cast was by FAR the best I'd ever seen. And we had an understudy for Glinda the Good Witch, who is the lead. Kinda. She and Elphaba (Wicked Witch) are equal leads.

The two were AMAZING together. I had goosebumps head to toes the whole time. So inspiring.

OMFG. i went to go see that a while ago too. i absolutely LOVED it. it was amazing.

Wonderful music, special effects, funny lines, GREAT actors, and topped off with an amazing storyline that makes you think. I find it beautiful.

What the Hell Happened?

This place used to be so amazing. Everyone listened to each other's opinions and felt for them. And now what happened? I feel scared to say what I feel because I might get bashed. :/ Hopefully things get better soon.

I know what you mean. It seems that even amongst Kerli's fans, who are among the most understanding and considerate people I know, there are a couple of rotten apples who want to start arguments and be spiteful.

Those of us who believe in I.L.U. and want to respect others' opinions (basically the vast majority of us) should stick up for one another. I certainly plan on doing that. I hope that this will eventually pass too.

I'm So Proud

My cousin is 13. He's been writing poetry and stuff since he was in 6th grade. He's great with it. He's learning guitar and has a GREAT voice. He's starting to get ready to step up to youtube. He's gonna be big one day. I'll keep you updated on when he posts his first cover! But he's thinking of recording "Thinking of You" by Katy Perry today because we both love it.

I taught him everything he knows! Except for his love of Kerli, he told me about her.

Gah! He was practicing "The Creationist" today. He makes it his own without straying too far from the original. It's amazing. I'm soooooo proud of him.

Friends Are Amazing

So, on another forum, I have a bunch of friends. We all met over the internet and have never seen each other in real life. We range from ages 12-18 but are still close. It's crazy. Sometimes I feel as though they can be better friends then my real friends. They're all so kind and would never dream of hurting another. Like, when you're having a bad day and snap at everyone? It doesn't happen with these people. I love them to death. Like all of you.

But anyway, the one I'm closest to is another poet. His dad works a lot at home, so he can't ever use the computer at home. He can only get on this forum for one weekend a month, when he's at his Grandma's. This weekend has been one of those weekends. If one of us enters a poetry contest we tell the other, so I told him about this. He asked to read my poem. So I sent him a link to the board with all the entries and told him he could read all of them to see if I compare.

He replied telling me he thinks I'm going to win. Which came as a surprise for two reasons. One, I don't think mine was really that great. And two, he replied quite quickly. Too quick to really read all the entries.

So I asked him if he read them all. His response?

"No, I didn't. But I have a feeling you should win. Honestly, you have such skill with the written word that sometimes I'm envious. You said before that my skill was greater than yours, but I honestly think it's the other way around. True, poetry is always supposed to have personal meaning, but most of the time its so personal for me that nobody but me understands it. You, on the other hand, have readers all over the country and beyond. I'll be surprised if you dont win."

I'm so giddy. I can't really believe it. He writes so well, and gah. I can't explain. He's a great friend.

omg i'm so glad you have such a loyal friend! and he's right, btw. it takes some serious skill to be able to write something that's personal but can also relate to others and you are absolutely BRILLIANT at that!

one thing though: don't compare yourself to anyone else. and i mean ANYONE. everyone writes amazing stuff according to their own little worlds. if you compare yourself to them, you might get the wrong idea and assume they're better than you when they're not.

please promise you'll never stop writing because i hope that one day i'll be able to buy a book with your words in it for the world to see. and never let go of those friends. i bet they're also huge inspiration for some of your poetry i'm so happy for you!

And don't worry, I'll always keep writing. It's my stress relief. I need to do it. So maybe one day there'll be a book. But even if not, I'll be writing.

I Feel Beautiful Right Now

I don't know why, but I feel beautiful. When I look out the window I'm usually upset because I see a bunch of trees that have been cut down to give more space for houses, and that really hurts the environment. Now you can see just a tree here and there, because the houses are so packed in. Especially the apartments across the street. There's gotta be like 1000 rooms in each building, and they have five buildings. It takes up a whole STREET. And all they care about it money. They're really poor living condition. But today, they seemed peaceful. Everything did. And beautiful. So I feel beautiful.

I'm Married!

Lol not really. But kinda. A bunch of my internet friends from an online video game held me and another guy a wedding in the game we play. It was pretty funny. We recorded and are posting it on youtube. I'll show it to you guys, but I don't know if you'll get it since most things are inside jokes.
