Amy Lee was my first true love...and still is at the top of my list! (Right beside Emilie Autumn, Kerli, and Alanis Morissette...these women are my Muses <3)

I am sooooo incredibly excited for the release of the new album on October 2!!! It has been a long wait, but I am sure that it will be well worth it! One of my favorite things about Amy Lee is her perfectionism with her art, so I know that part of the reason why she keeps so much time between releases is because she is making sure they are the best they can be.
Every single member of this band is an excellant artist and musician, and together, they are amazing. <3

^ I'm kind of disappointed with that song =/ The chorus is good, but the verses really annoy me (especially that "do what you what you want" part). I'm sure they'll have some better stuff on the album though. Their singles are usually never the best songs off the album (in my opinion at least).

The song is so, so, so good!! It's actually a 'Happy' (sort of) upbeat song, which is so new from them. Its doing quite well on the charts too, feeling like a proud mama :3

They performed their first show in almost 2 year on the 17th Smile

and played 4 new song, (WYW included)

THE OTHER SIDE best version out there yet, the sound cuts of at times :/ My favorite one!!! everything about this one ROCKS!

THE CHANGE This one is also so freaking awesome!! Amy's vocals are stunning.

OCEANS The intro is just.. and Amy's vocals. Getting so pumped for the new album now! :DD

So I got my preordered album today and I am so happy! Very Happy

I didn't excpect it THAT early. I love the songs on there. It's quite a strong album, can't compare it to their previous one.
My favourite songs are ballads again: Swimming Home and Lost in Paradise Smile

Can't wait for those deluxe songs to hear as well.

Lost in Paradise is still my favorite, but I also love The Change, Swimming Home, Made of Stone, and Sick Smile

I was a bit worried after hearing their first single, but so far the album has exceeded my expectations.

^ Defiantly get the deluxe if you can. The extra songs are great (especially "The Secret Door") and it comes with a bonus DVD.

It's sort of expensive, but it's worth the money in my opinion. I feel the like the album would be really incomplete without the bonus tracks. If you're a big Ev fan and loved their first album Fallen, I'd say get the deluxe. If you're more of a casual listener, maybe just get the regular version.

No...it's not that the deluxe version itself is more expensive than the normal version. This makes sense.

It's just....to order the deluxe version is much more expensive than ordering the normal version.

The Open Door had a cardboard case too...mine died on a rainy day ;___; Luckily I have a ton of empty CD cases, so I'm just going to take the booklet and back part of the package and put it into a plastic one instead.
