Yes you are creepy

Here is a little poem I wrote a few months ago!
I'm French so I hope there are no mistakes in it! ^^


Yes, you are creepy.

« There is something wrong with you. »
That is what they say
Instead of being grey you’re blue
Or green or white or red
Because you are not in the crowd
Never pick up your phone
And you’re always out of the town
You’d rather be alone

Yes, you are creepy
And rather be ashamed
Cause nobody accepts you here
And you’re the one to blame.
You make your mother and father
And siblings be worried
“Change a bit would be better”
That’s what they say and need.

Yes, you are creepy
And things will have to change
It’s urgent, dear, because maybe
They’ll put you down again
They are always laughing at you
Your clothes, body or hair
The fact is that they don’t know you
And better be prepared

Cause yes, you are creepy
Ready to take the world
Your mind, creativity, ideas
They’ll see and won’t find words
If creepy means awesome, genius
Intelligent, needed
You are a leader for future
So yes, dear, believe me

I like this a lot,
I have been told since fourth grade that I was weird, not good enough, ugly, too tall, too skinny, too awkward, too CREEPY... tons of mean things,
IF more people thought the way you seem to think then the world would be a better place.

People used to tell me what to do and what to say because I was "creepy" too. But I think that being weird is just being special in a way that people don't understand. It's not being weak or not good enough. This is what I wanted to express. Some of the most successful people in the world were told they were creepy or crazy at first. But we should just get over it and keep doing what we do in our own "creepy" way.

I try to stay myself and not to let people control me but it has been very hard this year. Now I feel stonger : I know who I want to be and I will fitgh for it!
