Infinity Begins

Sweet melancholic notes
You whisper to me the delight
The setting suns, moons, and universes
at the ends of the earth.
Love and life spilling into the horrific void.
Chillingly cold music resonates the chasm.
A twistingly lovely death to each
whom the sound reaches
But not us; no, no.

No, no
Poisonously impervious to its touch
It shys from our ears
Even death fears defiance and insurrection.

Dipped low in your arms we dangle upon the prepice that juts from the ruins
where was once where we belonged.
Roaring oceans drain themselves into the nothingness:
A swirling cascade, sifting ominously in all directions.

No last look back
All too well we know what we leave behind
Falsehoods, liars, cheaters
Backstabbers, murderers, reapers.
A land so drenched in blood
The rivers run red, and the sky rains crimson.
A land with fires spawned by hate
thus they can incinerate the very soul.

Forward into the starlit abyss
Take my hand my dear
Together we plunge into darkness
Together we never go home again
Together a jump into foolish death
And we will make our rendezvous with eternity.
