Christmas presents

So, Christmas is coming and everybody will soon be panicking about the presents. This year Im making pretty much everything and I can't wait

Im making every member of the family a painting of them and their partner and ill also make tons of awesome jewellery.

Here we can give each other ideas of what to make and how to make
keep the ideas coming!

Here's something I am making for a lot of people, kids and adults, for Christmas.

They are I guess what you'd call name meaning plaques. I take their first and middle name(s) and I find the meaning for each one. Then I get their birthday information and add their zodiac sign, birth stone, etc. At the bottom I add their personality traits that I got from researching their names and birthdays. When I have it all typed up in pretty font and organized the way I want it, I print it out on some sort of pretty stationary and stick it in a simple frame. It's a little bit of work with the researching part, but it is so worth it. It's something very personal that they will find interesting and be able to keep for the rest of their lives. I'll attach an example.

This is one I made for myself, I haven't printed it on stationary yet and I'll probably end up changing the font, but you get the idea.

There you go! If your wondering where to find name meanings, I use sites like BabyNamer.com. You can google "name meanings" and you'll find plenty of sites. Same goes for the zodiac signs information.
The personality traits are a bit trickier, I used a numerology chart found here.

hmm that idea is pretty good! I always search for name meanings, but mine are so contradictory.I mean really: Adriana: i've read it means dark and Gabriella means God's messenger, which is light, so i'm pretty confused about it....^^
Anyway, i'm not sure what i'm going to give but i will be making really nice boxes!

why not this year we all MAKE our presents..
its a good way to budget plus a hand made thing goes a long way. im even doing my own boxes to put the gifts in so basically.. im making everything from the boxes to the cards to the gifts.

I will try the most I can :> I will make jewellery to a friend and my sister, and then you gave me an idea hahaha, I bought a giiiigant remotecontrol for the tv (my parents are often loosing it haha) and then...
