Re: I'm grateful to live where I live because:
Portugal....I'm grateful because I live in a peaceful country. Almost everyone can have food at their table and water is abundant. We are lucky to have education and healthcare granted. I'm very very grateful for that, many people in this world can not say the same, sadly...
Apart from that, I love that my country is so small but every place is different from the other. In the south we have amazing beaches, mediterranean climate, almond trees and every type of almond sweet stuff. In the North in winter it is cold, snowy and magical. Fantastic woods and celtic monuments. The food is good also. In the interior there is the best food you can imagine, and it can be very hot or very cold, much like in the desert. The animals, the nature and the little villages are just amazing! We have fields and also mountains. Our capital, Lisbon, is beautiful and so is Porto. One of the things I love the most about my country is a village called Sintra. It's magical, a very powerful atmosphere.
oops, I wrote too much : x

Re: I'm grateful to live where I live because:
I love how you can either go to the countryside, the beach or different cities for a day out really easily. The British countryside is beautiful, green rolling hills, willow and oak trees, lakes and rivers. There are some great cultural cities too, London for its theatres, Liverpool for the arts and the history of The Beatles and Nottingham for the legend of Robin Hood. And I love trips to the seaside, the smell of the sea, lying on the beach in the sun and eating ice creams ^^

Despite my hate for Minnesota, there's always good in everything.
-The water. You don't need to even filter it, it tastes so pure. Once you start getting outside the city, it's not as good though. I hadn't appreciated it until I went to Vegas a couple years ago. I now love it.
-MOA. Mall of America is only a bus and light rail ride away. It has Camp Snoopy and a ton of stores.
-The State Fair. The second biggest fair in the USA and it's pretty cool.

So this is for where I consider home, not where I'm currently located:
-I can see the stars every night
-Very little pollution
-No neighbors in the country
-There are lots of cats on the farm
-The Mississippi River
-My best friend is here
-I can get on a train to go to Chicago
-Anheuser-Busch taste better the closer you are to STL
-um and lots of other things, I love living in the Midwest

I Love My Home Because...
We are a small Island, Isolated from the rest of Canada. Were very unique from the rest of the country. We have the oldest city in North America. We are in the Guinness Book Of World Records for having the most bars on one street. We are surrounded by ocean, beaches, cliffs, forests and other beautiful scenery. The wildlife is everywhere (Lynx, bears, moose, caribou, fox, rabbits, bald eagles, many different species of whales, just to name a few), Everyone is friendly and will make you feel at home. We have our own accent unique to the rest of the world (there's a touch of Irish sound to it, because were mostly all of Irish decent, but it's still slightly different). We all talk crazy fast and sometimes it's hard to understand us. We have the most awesome sense of humor. We pretty much have a language of our own (I don't ever use the words on here, I try to type properly, so you can understand hehe)
I could go on and on, I love my Newfoundland

Re: I'm grateful to live where I live because:
Poland is very important for me. My country is independent but in my heart is all time the struggle for independence. Only Polish understand it. When other country is poor or has a problems we must help because this is in ous blood. For us independence is the most important!!! I'm proud that I'm from Poland. In my housing estate are forts from I and II World War :)This is the largest forts in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy..My great-grandfather was deported to Russia, my aunt (during II world war) was deported to Germany for forced labor in a factory. And My grandfather's brothers was in Home Army (was the strongest and best organized underground army in Europe) and they helped Jews. Hid them-otherwise they would be in Auschwitz. I think that the greateful in my country is history
Re: I'm grateful to live where I live because:
This is an interesting test for me, because I never liked my town or Ohio.
I'm greatful for where I live because:
-We have so many TREES! I LOVE trees!
-I love the rainy season! aka autumn and spring...
-I love the change of seasons, even though we only have three seasons (frickin' hot, frickin' cold, and frickin' rainy)
-I love that I live in a small town, in a small county. I can't handle cities.
-I love that whenever you leave town you just see nothing but corn fields. Oh, the Midwest.....

This was also a bit difficult for me.
MY STATE - NEBRASKA
[x] It's generally a great state to raise a family in. Even the cities [Lincoln, Omaha] are safer than most others of the size.
[x] Landscape. I use to complain a lot about it being boring but lately I've found it to be the opposite. The plains are beautiful. Toadstool Park is also magnificent.
[x] Monuments/History. We have a lot of ties to the Oregon Trail...Chimney Rock, Courthouse and Jail Rock, etc. Arbor Day also began here. There's also a lot of Native American history.
[x] Kool-Aid. It was invented here.
[x] CliffsNotes. Also started here.
[x] Warren Buffet. 2nd richest man in the world.
[x] Nebraska Cornhuskers. We're the winning-est college football program over the last 50 years, both by winning percentage and number of wins.
MY TOWN
[x] Size. It's not too big but not too small. Around 25,000 people. There's enough stuff to do without feeling overwhelmed. I can't handle cities.
[x] Location. The plains around us are gorgeous and the Platte River is just north of town.
[x] Buffalo Bill Cody. He founded his Wild West show here. He has multiple houses [mansions] in town and we have a museum devoted entirely to him.
[x] Bailey Yard. It's the largest rail yard in the world.
[x] Mobster Henry Hill. He lived and worked here for some time.
[x] Chief Red Cloud was born here.
Most of these have to do with history since I adore it <3

Because I'm surrounded by nature and the country and in the summer this place is like a furnace to us, believe me
Also, the winters are sooo dark. It goes pitch black outside at, like, 4pm and the mornings are really dark too so you feel so grateful you have a pillow and a duvet and a bed. It often snows a lot in the winter as well.
And the rain. I love our rain
