Emilie Autumn

I used to be a really big fan. There was a time I listened to her music all day long, was on the forum all day, bought the book etc. But since the last couple of months I'm not really a fan anymore. I'm bored with the whole Opheliac theme and album. I haven't listened to the album in a long time.

But I have to say I still love most of the Enchant songs. And I'm quite curious about the new album! More violin and more metal sounds nice XD

Don't you think metal would spoil her vocals ? I mean could she do it ?

Hmm... I don't know! It's one of the things I'm curious about XD I actually hope she goes more metal with the instruments (like heavier drums and violin, etc) than vocally. I like her voice when she sings, but not so much when she growls like in Liar xD

I think with the CD being more metal she meant exactly the instrumentation, like heavier guitars etc, not that she is going to growl a lot. Her voice is brilliant and i think it would fit perfectly some more dynamic stuff too.

I actually like it when she growls.

I've been listening to her more during last week, so now I can tell my opinion better. Even though I can't remember the names of all the songs if I hear them :D
Enchant album is more groovy, or jazzy. And folkish. And Opheliac sounds more messed up :DD Therefore I like Opheliac more, because of the heavier sounds, so I'm very interested in the next album if it's going to be even heavier!
I DO love Enchant as well! It calms me down, and many of the songs are my favorites. Like Across The Sky, Rapunzel and Castle Down and others.
From Opheliac I have 8 favorites :D I often wake up in the morning and have Shalott playing in my head. That or Liar :D
I love EA's voice, it's not all girly and high-pitched. She has a lot of depth in her voice.
I also like when she growls, it doesn't sound annoying like most growling does.

I like messed up songs for some reason. Emilie Autumn is the perfect for my music taste, as well as LoveIsDead-Kerli.

Yesterday I almost cried while listening to Rapunzel, it made me so happy for some reason. It was like a cool rain in the summer, with the sun shining... Then I fell into a pool of water and just floated :)
Also I Want My Innocence Back is sooo scary! It's like she REALLY hates someone! O_O

I believe so. I think, maybe that song is about her rape experience? Or something less horrifying, like a cheating boyfriend or otherwise deceiving person. I don't know. It's an awesome song, though. The overall atmosphere is very haunting, and I really don't want to be someone she hates :D

I agree totally , I think she could be quite scary if you upset her . I know that people say she can be so soft , lovely and gentle , but can also be cold and hard . Maybe her past experience has made her this way ? I think I would be too scared to meet her in person just in case she was angry .

^ Haha, I can't imagine her being angry before, during or after a performance, I think she loves singing too much to be the slightest bit angry then. Even in the one video I've seen where she tells off someone in the audience, she doesn't seem to be genuinely mad, and the guy did deserve it xD

I think she can be the nicest person when performing but elsewhere, if angered, she'll gouge your eyes out :D Maybe it's her bipolar disorder + other craziness that makes her seem unpredictable to me. So I don't know whether she's happy or angry.

Emilie autumn has always been a favorite of mine she is just simply amazing to me =)

She is my other idol. I love all of her songs, I adore her autobiography(best book I've ever read.) I'd be lost without her and Kerli.

This is kind of random, but I was looking through the guide on the TV and the movie "Liar Liar" was listed on one channel.. so of course I get "Liar" in my head. But then there's some movie [?] on another channel called "Marry Me", and this made me laugh a little bit. Obviously, I'm just going insane.

I hear she is having a bad time at the moment - something to do with meds. Also her book release has hit snags as well, release date now looking like late June. Wonder how the album is coming along?

Bi-polar meds can really kill the creativity, it makes you feel like a robot.

I'm surprise that she can do these amazing performances and songs while on her meds, she is incredibly talented.

Oh, I was under the impression it was because she couldn't get the drugs. To be honest I didn't even know she was on meds until the other day. So yep she does do very well indeed.

She could not be able to get her meds, without medication bi-polar can be very difficult to handle.

Enchant is an awesome album, really! I love the softness of her voice which kinda gets lost in the other albums (I love them too, of course).

I Love EA. She plays the violin beautifully and shes got some hardcore talent. I haven't listened to a lot of her stuff but I sure do plan to lol

oh I am Oooobsessed with Emilie Autumn! I found her in 2006, and it was love at first sight. Her profile picture on myspace drew me in and when I listened to her music it was exactly what I needed at the time! Well, I guess I still need it. I've listened to her pretty much every day since.
I've been to 4 of her shows and met her 3 times. She really puts on a fantastic show and is incredibly sweet when you meet her in person!
Most of my family thinks she's pretty much evil. I think a lot of people are scared of her music and don't give it a chance, or really get to know what the songs are about. They hear "I know where you sleeeeeep" and think she's just trying to scare you, but in reality she was a victim and she's getting her revenge. Her songs are aimed at very specific people, who have hurt her immensely. In fact, I think "I Know Where You Sleep" is hardly about "I know where you sleep so Imma come get you!" It's more "I know where you sleep, because I've slept in that bed and it sickens me" Like angry at herself for doing so.

Yeah, you're right, most of my friends think she's just crazy in a very bad way, scary and such things. They don't listen, really.

I guess things that had happened in the past with drama just ruined my interest in her. She drastically changed ever since Enchant in my opinion.So I'm just over her now (which took me about a year). I've seen many post their opinions about other artists and whatnot, so I might as well stop hiding and post my true opinion about her and move on. I did try to hold on to her music because she is so talented, but now I just can't. I do wish her well in her career, but that's all.

I love EA's music, I haven't really listened to her in a while though (I think I shall now). Out of her albums, Opheliac is my favourite and Misery Loves Company is my favourite song.

Yeah, you're right, she has indeed changed a lot, which I can, however, understand after the drama in her life. I'm sorry that you lost interest in her though.
