This is my first poem, entitled Evelyn. I hope you like it! After you've finished reading it, read the first letter of each verse for a clearer meaning.


Evelyn

After all of the icicles have melted like tears
Columns of lightning rise up in psychosis
After all of the fog of days past has cleared
Columns, spirals, the brain's tools for hypnosis

Often a stumble, sometimes a trip
Paths branching out from hearts and from lungs
Halfway a stumble, always a trip
Origins from psychedelics and drugs

Never unhappy, apathy is the best
Inches of cardboard slide up past her thighs
Constantly happy, never depressed
Excited by twitches tucked under her lies

Xenophobic suburbs packed like sardines
Impish hummers constantly drive past scenery
Soldiers filter tentatively into latrines
Two-towered forests, black with greenery

Elevated spirits, minds, and branches
Non-stop barrage of pills and euphoria
Catalysts of ecstasy, thought avalanches
Evelyn smiles, for they all scream "Gloria!"

This is a song I wrote recently, entitled Padlý, which means "Fallen".

Fallen

I don't care where I fall
For it is bliss as I'm falling
I don't care where I fall
For I have all that I need

And even if I fall into hell
I will not be scared

I don't care where we rest

As long as it's just you and me

It's not perfect, because my czech isn't all that great due to the fact that I only attended the first three grades of school in czech, and after that I was transferred to an english-speaking boarding school. I still try to use my czech as often as possible though, hence this song.

Here's a song I wrote called Pandora, about a woman, who was never good enough for the man she loved.

Pandora

Sacks of skin filled up with my being
All this blood and muscle and a heart that's beating
Like an angry father punishing a child
Pupils follow others, crimson and beguiled

Affection drips, it drips so saccharine
Pouring onto a photo, a glossy square of sheen
In it can be seen another of the same species
Just another human, one that always says she's

Trouble in a box, Illness in a wrapper
As he begins to talk, She becomes a snapper
Snapping up the other woman's vitality
Another reminder of our morality

Constant cacophony of the mind
A twisted female half-lovestruck, half-blind
To the social requirements of simply existing
This pressing pressure just keeps persisting

He's the one, the diamond, well, not quite, but still
She wants him, no, needs him, so twisted and ill
The woman, the other, the one always getting in the way
She's gotta pay

Trouble in a box, Illness in a wrapper

Psychotic mess, a cautionary tale
Society's woman, a product gone stale
Neurotic bitch, a killer and a liar
A sobbing creature, one who starts the fires
Depressive lovers, crying as they make love
Obsessive children, something to let go of
Diseased organs simply writhing in a fashion
That reminds one of a fleeting night of passion

It's enough, it's got to be enough
She's got to be enough
She'll do anything for love

As she steps onto the scale that she so fears
One Zero Four, she collapses as all her tears
Stream down her face, ribcage piercing the tissue
Of a woman that she thinks that she once knew
