Soil
innocence birthed ignorance
how that flower pours like showers!
our good soil becomes soiled
it's too much, I need His canopy
nurtured beauty of Her fruit feeds me
while my root uplifts thee
cruel men rule our stage
the young girls' minds shine a new age
but in the rapture of their moment
lets not forget where we come from
lest we must live to die again
how that flower pours like showers!
our good soil becomes soiled
it's too much, I need His canopy
nurtured beauty of Her fruit feeds me
while my root uplifts thee
cruel men rule our stage
the young girls' minds shine a new age
but in the rapture of their moment
lets not forget where we come from
lest we must live to die again

probably because i've always thought of innocence as justified ignorance.... probably not what you meant lol sorry i'm bad at interpretations but i do love the imagery ^^ well done!
Re: Soil
I like it. I'm going to have to let it sit with me for awhile.

Thanks for the feedback! The words just sprouted out of me effortlessly like dew drops in this dawn.

Beautiful ^^ I feel the message in this poem.
I completely agree with this. So many of us have forgotten who we truly are and where we're from, but I always try to remember.
