Table Of Love Is Dead, Everyone's Gone, Nobody Comes Here Anymore :(

We need to keep up the traffic on here! I check to see whats new every couple days and I feel bad that this forum is dying.   
I suggest we keep up the conversations and start new topics to pass the time until Kerli updates us on important stuff like albums and music and then we have something to get excited about together. Until then, we should make this forum colorful and funny and exciting!

We try this with things like posting once per day, but as it's been mentioned before-- it's up to the members

I know that we always have a lot of "lurkers" who come on, read what has been posted, but don't post anything in response. We have a lot of really great topics, but there if people are reading and not replying then it's a little difficult for just a handful of people to keep the forums lively =/

True!

Yes, it is very sad but true.. social media aka facebook is killing the forum and i've tried many things to get it going but the fact that kerli is not releasing anything new isn't helping because the older fans are getting bored and the new fans dont have enough to become proper fans and join the forum.

if you have any ideas on how to get people back on here, feel free to pitch them. we can always try and make it happen

I do try to post once a day at least, but for the past few days I've been feeling a little depressed, so I've been quiet :D There will be more traffic once Kerli has something new to share.

I didn't even realize using Facebook for groups wa so popular. I don't really like the format of it >_< but maybe if people prefer that we could start trying to post more there? I would be willing to help out with maintaining the page if people preferred talking there.

I'M already in a lot of FB groups for Kerli. But only like one or two of them is really active. But you can try.

TOL needs more active members to keep the forums alive.  Kerli has >450K followers on facebook, and we have 805 users here.  So we have at least 449K people who like Kerli that may also want to show their moonchild pride on TOL - if they knew this page existed.  My solution:

We need to talk about this forum on the Facebook pages, and recruit more members for TOL.  

It took a long time before I discovered TOL.net, and I know that this website would be more active if it was better known.  I see a lot of people from here posting in the FB pages; let's promote TOL while we interact with other moonchildren on Facebook.

I guess FB is so popular, because it's fast and people see replies quickly. And it works on mobile. I think that what Emmott said could work. I have mentioned ToL a few times in the groups, but I guess I could do it more often :)

I remember that during the time when MoonChild Academy was allive people joined here because there was card "forum". And I think that during this time was more members.

But I remember that at the first Kerli team wanted to do new forum on MoonChild Academy but they didn't do it.

Kerli doesn't promote TOL... I think that they don't care about forum because they have Buzznet and Facebook...

even when she tried back on new MySpace, not everyone did it...

I find in the FB groups too much drama goes on in them too.

I actually have SO many cool prizes to give away.. I was going to wait til ToL is more active but maybe that's the way to make it more active?
Because I've gone into some lengths to get the prizes (f.e. a signed copy of Utopia...) I don't want it to be a mission where 5 people enter.. any ideas?

Maybe we can make a video about a mission? And then post it everywhere

Maybe we just need to get the word out. Post to some of those FB groups and post about it on her page. We can talk about how awesome it is to have non-judgmental people to talk to and about some of the cool prizes we've gotten from the previous missions, which have been super fun.

I agree that we should promote it on FB groups, and also on Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, everywhere!

..yes.. you are just as confused as i am.

Basically.. I don't want to create any rumours or anything but when Moonchild Academy was happening, the management emailed me and asked if ToL would be the official fan forum to which I said yes. then i found out that they were in the middle of creating the 'official' forum and when i asked them about it they said that there will be an official forum and i just have to deal with it pretty much.
so i am sure that the mgmt and kerli highly highly appreciates this place but they have no intention on promoting it because its not a forum that they have created, therefore not the 'official' one. its fine, whatever, i think we have done pretty well for ourselves but i dont think its fair to only show interest in the forum when it suits them.

mimi that's so unfair of them to do that! especially as you've worked so hard on creating ToL.
i guess people are just busy. i come on here as often as i can but sometimes schoolwork and family matters just become too much and i barely have any time to myself. i'd love to see the forum become more lively again, i'm going to make an effort to come on here more often:)

it's kind of confusing that kerli and her management aren't promoting ToL though. when kerli used her old website she often promoted the forum and even had a link to it, which is how i found out. it's a shame that it isn't getting enough recognition:(

i mean.. maybe things have changed now that she's out from IDJ.. i dont know, all of these things are connected to each other.

i did ask her to make a buzznet post about tol a few months ago and sent some questions to a few of the members here but she didn't do it in the end, she said that her 'buzznet isn't that popular' which kind of seems just an excuse. a bad one at that. i dont get any free stuff and im not asking for free stuff. even the autographs i give out to you guys - i print the pictures out at my own cost and ship them to her and all the other goodies are always paid by me, apart from some keyrings that her mgmt sent me once.
lets wait for the birthday present post (if she hasn't posted anything by the middle of next week i will drop her another email and if she hasn't received it, i will post another deck to her via special delivery) and see if the traffic picks up.. if not then we will just have to accept this place for what it is :)and if there is just 10 of us.. then well, at least we have each other.

Even if they have plans for creating an official forum, what's the harm if she makes a post about this one? Whatever, but I'm kind of disappointed.

i know, i agree. and regardless of whether there will be an 'official' forum or not, this forum will always be the first and it has been around the longest. we have created some amazing things together and i think it should be recognised..

I haven't been back in here in a while, part of it has to do with life being BUSY, but a lot of it also has to do with the fact that Kerli has been unavailable. No new music, not a ton of news coming in, and no chats and things like she used to do. :/

There's not a way you could have Kerli do some other sort of promo for ToL, is there? Not like a post but a video or something? I remember she recorded that one for us when we did the moonchild cards, it was so special.

P.S. Offtopic, BUT... Zeekestarz it's a small world, because I'm pretty sure from looking at your user photo that I stood next to you (assuming it's you in the photo) in the crowd at Kerli's show in Austin on top of the Whole Foods at SXSW last year. I remember because you and your sister(?) were like the only ones there with moon marks. I was mad at everyone else who was freaking out over Kerli but didn't have them on, but you guys did and that made me happy.  I have a picture with the same lighting and background as yours from when I talked to Kerli afterwards too xD

I don't really think the lack of new music is the only thing though. It really wasn't buzzing here when Utopia came out. I think she's just been a little less... accessible? She doesn't post many personal blogs anymore, nor do Iced Coffee or any other videos.

Yeah I guess. Many reasons why people are not coming on. Maybe people are just plain too busy. Or they are just not into forums or don't like it.

i agree with you all. as interesting it is to read about her weekly finds, they get pretty old.. I hardly ever go on her buzznet because I'm not interested in looking at pictures of barbie doll people..

I hate them blogs myself. I never read them either. I think them blogs are kind of stupid. Who want's to look like a Barbie doll anyways.

I Can't help but wonder that theses post about girls that look like Barbie dolls sends the wrong message out to young girls. That it's okay to look like that?

I don't think she wants us to take it so dramatically, but that's not really a thing that should make anyone to look up to her. In no freaking way.

I agree. I don't like her Buzznet that much at all (I also just don't like Buzznet, period, because it runs really slow and it's so hard to move through and aside from Kerli and Natt there's no on else on there who's posts I want to read since it seems like it's all this celebrity and gossip stuff... Meh. but that's just me). It feels impersonal.. I don't like most of the things she posts because they aren't actually about her. And the fashion stuff is interesting but I miss hearing about the things that she really stands for, because she isn't about just looking good. At least I'm assuming since she was never like that before. I only don't know anymore because she doesn't share as much. Or if she does it's only accessible through Facebook, so I never see it.

Well. That's good news. I really look forward to some new music from Kerli. Music that isn't all dance stuff. Kerli seems more free and happy with the new label. Hopeful she will finally put out the music she wishes and likes.

I agree with everything that's been mentioned. When I first got into Kerli, it was like just after the Moonchild Academy website had closed and I was so disappointed! The format on buzznet is awful but I LOVE when she posts personal and spiritual blogs. I was hoping she would post more like the thoughts about the river ones that she did not too long ago. I would just love a few more of those. I don't mind the fashion posts, and they're even inspiring to my own fashion and decorating, but it's not the deep connection anymore.
