I am here

Greetings people. I'm a fellow aesthete from Finland. I chose to finally start interacting with the Moonchildren, because your mere existence is bringing me hope and peace. I already thank you for this atmosphere of love and tolerance, although this is my first post.

I'm having a hard time combining the two different sides of me; I have the sugary sweet pastel lolita side and the theatrical dark trad goth side. This is one of the reasons why Kerli and you guys originally caught my attention. I'm trying to learn to be just me, not having to choose.

It's almost 8am and I haven't slept all night. My mental balance is shaking again, and I guess I came here to seek something more, perhaps help. The help I'm getting is not enough. I crave for acceptance. And this is the one place where people seem to forget what it is to hate. So much hate has recently poisoned my life, hate from myself and from others. I feel like crying, like all the black hate could just flow out of me with the tears.

This post is depressing. I truly am sorry. For I came also to seek inspiration, bits of joy and glitter and kitsch!

Your post wasn't depressing at all, mainly because pretty much everyone's been there, so we know what it's like. And if someone doesn't know, they'll empathize! That's one of the great things about Moonchildren. The world needs more people like us, there's too much hate. Especially among younger people, you'll be scarred for life :D I hope you can adopt at least some of our mentality, and see that all that hate is pointless and can't really hurt you. Being yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself (and others; you'll attract the right people).

"Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind", I guess that's a Dr.Seuss quote. More or less.
