Personalized "Keepsake Boxes"
I just realized that I didn't put these up. I made them about a month ago because my ebay jewelry was piling up and I was running out of room They were super fun to create and I figured everyone could find a use for them.
What you need:
*Boxes (I found these unpainted ready made boxes in my local dollar store for about 2 bucks a piece)
*Acrylic paints in whatever colors you desire (2$ A bottle at the dollar store)
*Paint brushes with different widths (You need small tips for tiny areas and larger ones for the broader spaces. I got about 7 in a packager for 2$ again in the dollar store)
*Sticky gems, stickers, any kind of deco thing you want to put on (I chose gems. 1$ a pack at the dollar store)
So all I did was decided what colors I wanted them to be.
The first one I chose to paint black on the outside, pink on the inside, and the metal pieces were bronze and I painted them silver.
The second one I painted pink on the outside, silver on the inside and again the metal pieces went silver.
After the paint was dried I just stuck the gems wherever I thought looked great and DONE!!!
*Note* I'd probably get a bit of sandpaper too and give the edges a quick sanding next time. As you can see in the pics there are a few splinters and I think I could easily eliminate that with a few quick strokes of the sandpaper. Anyway, enjoy
Here's my finished results:

They're so pretty! I like the shape of the second box, it's like a treasure chest ^^ I wish there were cheap boxes here, too... Well, there are, but they're really tiny :3
Well done! <3
Well done! <3
Re: Personalized "Keepsake Boxes"
You want me to send you one? I have a couple more here and they are dirt cheap and super light. I doubt it would cost much of anything to ship one.
Re: Personalized "Keepsake Boxes"
You would do that? @_@ I'd love to have one! Preferably a chest-shaped, but I don't mind if you send me a flat one :3
The boxes here really are small, and they cost maybe 5€. I know it's not really expensive, but still; for a plain, small wooden box with no hinges, just a lift off lid? I think it's too much :D
A thousand thank yous, you're awesome ^^

Re: Personalized "Keepsake Boxes"
Sure I would. It's no problem I'll see what's here and get at that on the weekend. FB me your address.
No, no. 5 Euros is WAY too much to pay for something like that. Especially so small and plain. That's ridiculous.
These are not the most solid things in the world but they are nice to look at and for what you use them for, you know, they aren't going to break. They are actually pretty damn good for just 2$ Canadian.
