I dare say I may be the oldest member of the forums. I'm a musician and music teacher. I became familiar with Miss Kerli after watching the movie "Alice in Wonderland" and seeing the "Tea Party" vid.
I have been telling my students that Miss Kerli is on the verge of a breakthrough, and that a year from now (maybe less) Miss Kerli will be a household name.
I've heard many of her songs and really enjoy them all. I'm impressed that she is so adaptable to many styles. Dance, metal, ballads. She has amazing range of styles.
Feel free to ask me anything, and if I am so inclined I will answer.
Oh, by the way. My age? 60, married, and male. I am a bit amazed that at my age my musical tastes have become far ranging.

Welcome! I think it's wonderful that you seem to have such a passion for music, especially as a musician and teacher. What instruments do you play?
Enjoy your stay here!

I can play all the typical band instruments, but I am a percussion specialist.

Hey!
It doesn't matter how old you are or where you come from on this forum. Everybody's welcome
You've joined during a low time though - whenever kerli releases something we get people buzzing but at the moment only the old/faithful users are active. But im sure you'll get along nicely.

I tell my students that their future is dependent on themselves and the boundaries are set by them, not others.

Welcome! If I'd had a music teacher like you I probably would have actually enjoyed the class. I love that you call her Miss Kerli

Quincy, it's a southern US thing. People we have a lot of respect for, but aren't really old enough to refer with a last name, we use Miss or Mr. and the first name. Older family friends are referred to this way too.
I remember my Mother referring to Aunts and Uncles when I was a child. I was in my 30s when I asked her how we were related to them. She said we aren't. when she grew up in the early 20s and 30s any older person was called Aunt or Uncle.

It's definitely a southern thing, that southern hospitality.
Anyway, welcome!! I'm so glad that even older people are into Kerli, I think it's insanely cool that you have a wide range of music interests, most people your age are completely uninterested in new music.
So, you said you play most band instruments? Are you talking about the wind and brass instruments?(btw, percussion specialist, that's cool!) or are you talking about string instruments? Just wondering, because I'm a violin player. (:
