Kota is MoonChild and very talented artist :singer/songwriter/performer, pianist/composer and designer.

Kota also has her own accessory line, Bubble Bands, which have been worn by models and celebrities like Kerli (Island Def Jams recording artist), Audrey Kitching (model/designer, internet celebrity), Lexi St. George (Ark Music Factory), and Ariel Moore (of The Clique Girls and NMD).

1. Question: What’s your inspiration?
Kota: I’m inspired by so many things. I’m very inspired by books and reading and fairytales. I love fairies and supernatural and sci-fi, and I feel like all of that reflects in my art and style.

2. Q: What made you create your own accessory line?
K: Bubble Bands started as a way to make some custom accessories for some of my friends, then became much more!

3. Q: Would you say your style and work is influenced by bubblegoth?
K: I would say that a lot of the things I wear could definitely be considered bubblegoth. My music reflects some bubblegoth influence as well sometimes.

4. Q: How did u become a MoonChild?
K: I first heard of Kerli when “Walking On Air” was first released and I became an instant fan and totally related to her style and music.

5. Q: How you would deal with a friend if they disrespected the trust in the friendship and you just cannot trust them again?
K: I would tell them that I could remain friends with them, but that the trust between us would have to be regained over time. I don’t like losing friends, but I wouldn’t want a close friend I couldn’t trust.

6. Q: Name one thing you want to do before you die?
K: Win at least one Grammy!

7. Q: How you had ideas for the work with Kerli and how it was? She is friendly? More than beautiful in person?
K: Kerli’s manager had told me that at the time, Kerli was really into neon colors and things that didn’t belong together. As soon as I heard that, I knew what I wanted to make. I wanted to combine the neon with odd shapes such as the sphere, and add odd touches such as the giant white spider and the antique clockface onto a tiara. She was very friendly and so beautiful!
