'X Factor's' L.A. Reid shows complete ignorance for music he didn't produce Empty 'X Factor's' L.A. Reid shows complete ignorance for music he didn't produce

We started off "The X Factor's" first season really liking L.A. Reid as a judge. He wasn't afraid to disagree and stand up to Simon Cowell, which is something the judges rarely did on "American Idol."

We were slightly less on board when L.A. turned into the world's biggest name-dropper. Nary a performance can go by without him mentioning Justin Bieber or Boyz II Men or whoever else he has produced music for. Super annoying. We get it, you work in the music industry. Brush the giant chip off your shoulder and let's move on.

But Tuesday night's (Nov. 22) Top 10 performance show really took dislike to a whole new level. After Drew Ryniewicz sang "Skyscraper," L.A.'s entire criticism (which he pointed towards Simon, because L.A. constantly feels the need to prove that he's better than Simon) was that Drew should sing age-appropriate songs, not "songs for people that are 40."

Except "Skyscraper" is by Demi freakin' Lovato. A Disney star who is 19 years old.

Paula tries to point this out, and it seems to go entirely over L.A.'s head. At this point, he could've caught on and admitted he was wrong and apologized. Everything would've been fine.

But he didn't catch on. And Simon awesomely ripped him a new one:

"I am sick to death of your pointless, stupid criticism of this girl ... Shut up for a second, L.A. This is unfounded, it is inaccurate, you are talking complete and utter rubbish."

L.A. then kind of mutters, "I think it's in poor taste." We don't know what "it" is, but if he means his complete ignorance of songs and artists he did not produce, then we wholeheartedly agree.

and someone added comment about it comment on Facebook:
Actually He is tied to this song, in 2006 LA Reid signed Kerli Kõiv to Def Jam. Kerli is the original singer and songwriter of the song, and she is only 24 now, which made her 19 in 2006. So this time LA Reid is ingorant of his OWN music. The song was written by a 19 year old HE signed and made famous by abother teenager. LA Reid is an idiot.
