Anime & Manga

I'm surprised there's not a thread for this already!

So, do you like anime & manga? What series? What artists or studios?

I like Mushi shi, xxxHolic... Paradise Kiss... Evangelion, FLCL... Rurouni Kenshin, especially the Tsuikohen OAV (here they released it as Samurai X?).. and of course Haya Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli!!

The number one series on my 'to watch' list is Death Note.

Some manga series I've been following lately are Vampire Knight, Kurobara Alice, Dokuhime, and Hapi Mari.

And my fav manga are Jisatsu Circle, Uzumaki, and Detective Conan.

But I'm not really all that into anime/manga anymore though <.<;

I love anime!!! It changed me so much.
I started watching Sailor Moon when I was very little.My cousing gave me later a manga Sailor Moon,I was so happy!

Elfen Lied is awesome <3 I love the opening song for the anime.

I used to like Naruto
I had a hair style like Sasuke for a while... xD

I LOVE Hayao Miyazaki's movies unfortunately he said that he won't make any movies cuz it takes too much time :/

Ive never been so into manga nor anime. my best friend is though.

oh and i saw this super cute cartoon about hitori i think.. he was like a big trol and then there was a cat bus

Really? Your friends should read and think about it.
That manga makes me think a lot about people, sadness, salvation and this kind of things.
It showed to me how important is to care about people's feelings.
Some people just don't understand, but this manga is a master piece for me (:

Was it Totoro? There is definitely a cat bus in Totoro. I love that movie.

Was it Totoro? There is definitely a cat bus in Totoro. I love that movie.

I remember that movie xD I started watching it somewhere in the middle though, so I was so confused.

I agree it was a master piece Not many manga series I've read have come close to it. I ever decided to watch the original film & sequel. I thought they were genius!

And I've read a bit Ranma 1/4 and OnePiece.

A few days ago I started to read Vampire Knight, and I'm halfway trough Death Note and I just started with reading Naruto xD

I actually just watched my first anime, the first episode of Rozen Maiden and i love it!!!!
How come i've never come across anime before?

can anyone explain what's manga? and what's the difference between manga and anime? I'm not familiar and guess not into it as well thou I'd like to learn!

Isn't manga like comic? And anime is tv-shows/movies? That's how i got it

Manga is comic and anime is tv-shows or movies,like Ene said.

I love anime movies, but I don't trust myself to watch one of the tv series. I'd probably become obsessed and not leave my computer until I'd seen every episodes. I watched Sailor Moon, Digimon, and Pokemon when I was a kid. And Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite movies

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, god i'm so addicted to it.
It's like super super twisted but it totally fills that gap True Blood left empty haha

I love love love Shugo Chara! I have one through nine of the manga... Soon I will start watching the anime.
I also love love love the anime and manga for Black Butler[Also known as Kuroshitsuji] and Black Butler 2 and Kuroshitsuji OVA... I'm obsessed. [Sebby is awesome. And the Undertaker...]

Right now I'm watching D.Gray-man and simultaneously rewatching Hunter x Hunter. Hunter x Hunter is seriously underrated, it has a wonderful storyline, and one of the most evil (and sexy) villains I have ever come across, Hisoka! *sigh* (Seriously, the guy is hawt! Well, to me xD)

I'm planning to watch Bleach next, I've heard good things about it, and Hisoka's voice actor, Hiroki Takahashi, is in it! He's also the voice of Shouji in Nana! It must be fate ^^ (I swear, I'm not obsessed...xD)

@blackpixiedust - Oh my gosh, I adore Nana. It's the first series I ever watched when my boyfriend introduced me to anime, so it will always have a special spot in my top animes ^^

^ Yes, you really should watch it all the way through. It's one of those series where you get really attached to the characters too, isn't it. Even the villains. Or maybe that's just me xD
