Kerli's style...variable?
I love the bubblegoth style she has in her music and wardrobe, but I noticed that some of her songs seem to lean mroe towards pop or rock, and in the comments, some people were really upset. I want to know, does anyone really think Kerli should stick only to bubblegoth?
Personally, I think it's good to have a variety of sounds. As long as I hear her beautiful voice singing from her heart, that's all that matters. There may be songs that you like les than others, but again, if it's coming from her heart, that's all she needs to make her musical dreams come true.
QUICK NOTE: I am asking for your opinion on this topic, but keep in mind, the point is to have your voice heard. I'm sure I don't need to say this, but just in case, this is not a topic to fight about, just one to think about and discuss.

I agree that she should do whatever she feels like doing.
Me personally love her Love Is Dead style more. Like thousand times more.
But I still enjoy her new music.

Every artist needs to experiment a little too, it's dangerous to just stick to one sound, people could get bored or they could still love it. It's a big risk.

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
I agree with experiementing with different styles, sure I will miss the little creepy girl theme but bubblegoth is just as exciting too.
The songs we have already heard might sound like mainstream but I'm sure she will have a couple of songs that doesn't sound like it at all. She did say she has one song that sounds like it could be the sequel of walking on air.
We just need to hear the complete album first before we judge anything.

I dont know why you call the new style bubblegoth.
To me her first album is bubblegoth, and the new one is just bubble.
I believe that she has bubblegoth songs on her new album, we just havent heard them yet :3

I prefer her dark music as well, but I like that she's also not afraid of doing pop songs too.

I don't really consider her style from love is dead album to be "bubble" To me it was dark and creepy.

Bubblegoth is great but it seems like she has more pop songs now. I understand she wrote love is dead when she was younger and felt that way....but I can relate to it more. I live in this very cold and imaginationless inviroment. It sucks. And has affected my life but that builds more character and Imagination waiting to burst. Look at TIM BURTON. He's a mindwarp. I just feel like the pop is just so quirky and well.... I can't relate to it.

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
So far, I've heard very, very little 'goth' to the bubblegoth sound.
I MUCH prefer her old style...I can't even fully express how much more I enjoy that than what she has going on now.
Do I enjoy some of her new stuff? Yes. I absolutely love Zero Gravity, Supergirl, and When You Cry. Dollface has me extremely worried and I'm not a fan of that song. Bubblegum...I won't even comment much on -___- First time I heard it made me want to beat my head on a wall. Fun song but way, way too childish and immature for a grown woman.
I have my fingers crossed that the songs we haven't heard will have the goth flare to them but honestly, I'm not getting my hopes up. :/

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
I love artists that dares to experiment with their music.
I think the older music is good, but I do love the new ones too. Though I'd prefer if they we're a bit less poppy but w/e it's still good and enjoyable!

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
When Avril Lavigne first came out her songs were darker and now they seem more happy. I hope she doesn't get to poppy though.

Yeah me too! I think that too, now its bubbly without the "Goth" feeling. It would make sense if her first album was "bubblegoth"

I agree with both of you. Her first album did have a nice range of "bubble" (like Beautiful Day, Creationist) and "goth" (Love is Dead, Creepshow). And then of course Walking on Air, which is probably the most obvious combination of the dark & light styles. Maybe she's saving the "goth" side for the album and just using the "bubble" for radio and promotion right now.

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
I think her new album is the Bubble and Love Is Dead is the Goth, haha :L
I'm glad she's experimenting with styles though, and it shows how versatile her voice really is. She suits both rock and electro-pop. :3

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
I LOVE her darker more introverted style so much more than the electronic dance style she is heading towards currently, but I agree that she should experiment. If the artist keeps remaking the same album over and over, who will want to buy it? She could experiment with dark sounds, too, that's for sure, but I guess we'll just have to be happy that she's...happy
Re: Kerli's style...variable?
Oh,I'am happy that she is happy and all. Just enjoy her darker music more then her new style.

Re: Kerli's style...variable?
I think LiD is 75% Goth and 25% Bubble. And none of the songs are really a mixture of both (except maybe WoA...) The songs were either Bubble or Goth, not BubbleGoth. That being said, this album looks Bubble so far, but I expect to get Goth soon. I hope. I feel like when she does Bubble she loses a bit of substance. It's still good... just not as complex. That might be good for pop, since pop listeners tend to connect with simple songs, but for such complex people like MoonChildren, we need more.
