so recently i got introduced to lolita and i was wondering who else here likes it or is one. Kerli did a loli video in a way. tell me what you love about it what got you intothe fashion and why are you a loli whats you fav kind anything

i like lolita fashion but I don't wear it myself...mainly because most of the places that sell lolita are in japan.

There's a website hellolace.net that gives websites that sell lolita and do overseas shipping. I've looked at quit a few of them I would wear it I'm just too afraid considering I bet there isn't a single loli in my area. I'm self concious lol

You should post pics and I feel like I'm too tall 5 10 Lolita isn't very common xD but I have such a loli personality hehe

I think lolita is quite cute, I love Mana-Sama's lolita clothing. They're amazing.

I wear lolita just about everyday, or atleast whenever I leave the house. I'm a cosmetology student so my professors rarely care about what I wear. I actually got interested in Kerli because of lolita. I was on the egl lj community when someone posted her "Walking on Air" video, we were discussing how the outfits in the video reminded us of lolita. I'd never seen an artist use a ball jointed doll in their video before and as an avid collector I decided to do some more research on her, it was all downhill from there.

I generally like most of the styles and though I look best in gothic, I love sweet too much to stick to one. I really love my local lolita community, there is about 80 active members in my state and I would have never dared to wear it if I hadn't met them, when I was younger I let people tell me that lolita didn't suit me and that I shouldn't wear it, but lolita at it's core is about wearing what you want no matter what. At the end of the day it's all about making yourself happy, and if you love it enough, you will find a way to wear it. I'm twice the size and height of a japanese girl but I don't let that discourage me, I sew my own dresses, scour ebay and etsy for cute things and buy clothes off of the egl sales community.
I figured instead of spamming you all with multiple pictures I'd just give you a little mini-collage of my favorite outfits.

I would make a perfect sweet lolita, I'm exactly 5'0''. I would look like a doll in them.

Well I've been dressing this way for 3 years and before that I wore romantigoth, so I've always been super frilly. I keep the super ott outfits for going out with friends or to special events, and on regular days I wear a slightly toned down version. Sometimes I wear a dress and petticoat but with a little sweater instead of a blouse or heels instead of lolita shoes, a little beret or flower accessory instead of a bow or bonnet. Because of this my family generally doesn't mind though they do make fun of me when I wear my over the top style. They do ask what I will wear when I get too old, and I don't think there is a such thing, I might stop wearing the super sweet stuff but I don't see myself not wearing classic or gothic style, maybe I'll try steampunk.

I loveeee lolita fashion but if I wore that here people would be like wtf o_O. I don't want every one staring at me.

When I was nine or ten I first saw like gothic lolitaish clothing In a paper with all the black lace and bows and stuff and I fell in love. I went to a website and saw all those stuff and I was like WOW I WANNA LOOK LIKE THAT WHEN I GROW UP.
I didn't know the name of the fashion or anything,
(i didn't even know it was a fashion trend) When I started to like Kerli and she simply just gave me the name lolita I looked it up and I fell in love. Since I've always liked that stuff I got very thankful that I finally got a name on it.
I guess that I can't call my self lolita but I'm very inspired by the fashion and wishes to buy a REAL gothic lolita skirt or dress.

I love lolita and I know quite a few Sweet Lolitas, I love how they make fun of people's prejudices about them. One friend goes straight up to them and ask them what the hell they're staring at if someone is looking and laughing at her, some other smoke and are very open sexually, one of them has two piercings.

They all are so pretty and look so perfect when they put on the lolita-clothes (they look amazingly pretty in their "free time" clothes too). They are so amazing.

I was... AM interested in the lolita-fashion, but there is so much to think of (it's a lot more than just throwing on a dress after all). And it's so expensive imho, even if you shop at bodyline. So it's not really anything for a lazy bum like me.

Also, here most lolitas, sadly, hate each other because of the superficial culture that follows in most cases.

i happen to love loita but saddly the only thing that happens when i wear it ((yes im a boy and i have put on many dresses))
it turns more visual kei since i always go all out

I love lolita clothing, though, I don't wear it. Cause 1 it's too expensive for me and 2 I can't take too much comments about how I'm looking... Doesn't matter if it's positive. I've loved lolita since I was 12 (13?) though during that time, I did not have the funds to buy such clothes nor had the freedom to dress like so. It is only recently for the past year or so that I've started acquiring pieces when I met someone that revived my interest.

Can't exactly remember how I managed to discover lolita. I think I was lurking around a visual-kei group page and I either found a affiliate group that was "lolita fashion" or I happened to see a member wearing lolita. Since gothic lolita happened to be the popular style then, that was probably my favorite style. Nowadays, classic is what tickles my fancy.

Can't say I enjoy getting attention in general. However, a choice between something that genuinely makes me happy and the choice of sacrificing it just to avoid a stranger's reaction... It usually just leads to me to choose the first option and to just deal with it.

On a normal day when I'm just going shopping or doing errands it take 15 minutes, for makeup/hair/putting on clothing. For an outfit like above it takes about 45 minutes.

I got into lolita when I was looking for some steampunk-inspired outfits and I really love the dresses especially. I have a couple I got from Milanoo, but I haven't worn them very much yet.
