yeah...actually if you listen to the rhythm carefully the song is not that bad...
what spoiled the song is the lyrics...just that...and maybe her voice with so much autotune :/

The song is very catchy.
I know that all of those people who wants her to die have the song stuck on their mind.

I wrote a comment on her video a while ago saying that people should stop hating her etc. One said this to me "unfortunately nobody would. shes sucks accept it dude.". I was so shocked. People hate Rebecca very much.

I completely agree. I'm not a fan of Friday, but the various versions have made people laugh so much I think it's worth it. However, I hate the things they say to her...she's so young. She just wanted to sing. :/

I dont like the song, but i think its wrong to be mean to her, i mean, she is very young, and c'mon, the song isnt good, and it makes my ears bleed, BUT, i think most people have heard worse, I mean, it seems to me that people are just mean because she got so much attention, many songs that isnt getting that attention are soo much worse.

People hoping to ring in Friday the right way -- the Rebecca Black way -- were surely disappointed this morning because the teenager's campy music video for the song was removed from YouTube... by Rebecca Black herself. "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black. Sorry about that," YouTube writes on the page that once housed the year's best worst song. At least they're polite about it.

It wasn't the name-calling or the parodies or the overwhelming crush of instant celebrity that led to Black's decision. Instead, it all comes down to a legal battle between Black and the for-hire music company that wrote and produced the video, Ark Music Factory. Last week, Ark tried to squeeze a few more dollars out of the "Friday" zeitgeist by making the video only available through YouTube's rental service at a cost of $2.99 per view. Kind of ridiculous asking people to pay for what had watched hundreds of times for free. (It was up to 167 million views when it was removed.)

Apparently, Ark was pocketing all the rental money for themselves, even though Black was the star. It's a classic singer vs. songwriter battle of money. These financial details are usually pounded out before a song is released, but no one could have predicted how huge "Friday" would become. Ark (as the songwriters and the video's directors) probably was reluctant to give Black (the star) the royalties she felt she deserved for making "Friday" a smash, so Black herself put in the request to have "Friday" removed from YouTube. Ark may have written the song, but Black owns her own image. "We can confirm that we submitted a take-down notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the 'Friday' video," Black's spokesperson (she has a spokesperson now!) told TMZ.

All those "Friday" parodies are still on YouTube, as well as Black's cameo in Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)", so those options exist if you're desperate. But if you were hoping to start the morning with Black pondering whether to sit in the front seat or the back seat, you're out of luck. This whole situation spawns the philosophical question: If it's Friday, and there's no "Friday," is it really Friday at all? Is tomorrow Saturday, and is Sunday afterward?

Updated: Phew, that was close. While Black and Ark still battle over the YouTube money, Black has quietly opened up her own Vevo account and posted the "Director's Cut" of the "Friday" video there. It is Friday after all!

Update 2: As you might have noticed by clicking play above, "Friday" has once again been removed, this time from Vevo. The official Rebecca Black artist page that was hosting the video has been "terminated due to multiple or severe violations of our Community Guidelines," so it seems as though Ark is getting revenge this time around. The war over "Friday" wages on.

I hate the song. Not Rebecca Black. Well...I hate how she got famous just because she has rich parents who BOUGHT her a song. She wasn't discovered because she has talent. She didn't even go the MySpace rout. her parents literally BOUGHT her fame. I think that's sick.

But people shouldn't be giving her death threats. I've seen a few interviews, though, and she seems to be a pretty nice girl who takes all the comments pretty well. I hope her future music is better. But she'll probably be just another one "hit" wonder.

Now I'm scared... someone hold me! I mean... I don't really like her song Friday because it is just too literal and it doesn't make that much sense that her and her thirteen year old friends are DRIVING A CAR! Also I don't particularly like her voice... sure, I sometimes sing Friday like crazy, but that is because everyone sings it and it gets ground into my brain. I don't like being a hater, but its hard when I just don't side with something.

As for her parents buying her fame, that is just suckish! Very low blow! If you have real talent, that should get you fame, not it being BOUGHT for you!

Well you know, in this particular song she sounds and looks better than Britney for example. But it's all about the production quality. This time she had better producers and songwriters, that doesn't maker HER any better.
Then again she has contributed to the song as much as most singers out there these days, so there should be no dissing about her Smile
