Hi Moonchildren!
Hello guys.... my name is Kiran and I'm 18 years old. I'm a huge fan of Kerli! Random facts about me:
I'm rather shy and introverted, but once I open up I'm impossible to shut up lol
I LOVE to draw and write poetry. Also, I am interested in photographing stuff with my mediocre cellphone camera like a spy It's fun to capture stuff from various angles!
I am doing my Bachelors in Zoology. As long as I don't have to dissect anything, I survive.
I'm also an intense reader. Once I get a book, I speed-read it and them read it thoroughly later in long parts. Not only do I read them like a machine, I end up memorizing them this way as well. I read anything - from adult fiction to children's books, fantasy and adventure, anything I can get, really. Which reminds me, I'm in desperate need of reading material right now
My playlist consists of rock, symphonic metal, music scores, instrumentals, classical music and a bit of rock. I discovered Kerli last year, and I just fell in love with her. When I heard Army of Love, I listened to it on repeat for three days. It's such an uplifting song to me!
I'd love to play the violin someday, and the bass guitar too. My parents think it's a waste of life .... I'd love to prove them otherwise
I guess that's it! What about you guys?

Re: Hi Moonchildren!
Agree! I actually had Selective Mutism when I was younger, which means I was totally silent in front of people, and only talked to my family. I didn't do it deliberately, it was more like I wasn't able to talk. I got over it over time I'm just shy now!
Re: Hi Moonchildren!
Wow, I had never heard of Selective Mutism, but that completely describes me as a child. Thank you for that. I feel less crazy knowing that wasn't something I was alone in.kiran wrote:Agree! You are welcome, I didn't know what it was until a few months ago myself I think SM is fairly common, but most parents just make it seem like a phase. I remember it was so frustrating for me when I was young - I couldn't open my mouth to say hello to my own relatives, and people thought I was a mute! My parents would say stuff like, she's just shy, she'll get over it. Later, I would be scolded for being silent and I couldn't even say it's not my fault I couldn't talk

Yeah, I totally know what you mean. It really means a lot to know that it's something that's recognized as an anxiety disorder. I was always called "shy" and I never felt that that was true.kiran wrote:You are welcome, I didn't know what it was until a few months ago myself I think SM is fairly common, but most parents just make it seem like a phase. Hello LadyMimic! Nice to meet you
catloafwithpotato, I also thought the same, that I was never shy I think it's like a manifestation of anxiety, because (face to face) I am not good with people, talking to them and just plain interacting with them makes me uncomfortable. It's easier for me to write them notes, text messages or letters - I assume this anxiety was really pronounced when younger and I always felt like I lived in another world.
This is why I love Kerli's music, it truly fits in my little dark-ish world of fairies and strange beings!
