Musings of an Elf - JaneLove Empty Musings of an Elf - JaneLove

Post by JaneLove Sun Feb 13, 2011 6:38 am

Hi! ^_^

I've thought about starting a blog and I just decided to.

As far as the title goes, I realized something yesterday. Well, for one thing, my name means 'elf'. My real name. Jane is my middle name and it's what I prefer to go by on the internet. I've always thought 11 was my lucky number. It was the day I was born on. But yesterday, I realized some more things about the number. Elf is eleven in German. My name means elf. There's also eleven in my name, not including Jane.

So there's some fun numerology for ya!

At moment in time, I'm so freaking lovesick it hurts. I get so addicted to being close. After yesterday, I can pretty honestly say I have a boyfriend. It's so weird, too, because he's just totally the opposite of me. I don't really want to bore anyone with details, though. But we went to the hot springs and got dinner with a few friends yesterday... you can interpret that any way you want. ^_^

Maybe I should give you some background about me...
I'm from Colorado in the U.S. I'm a ninth grader at the coolest school ever. I dance, play cello, climb (mountains and rocks), and my goal is to help the world in every way possible. I don't really have a favorite band, but I love The Beatles. And of course, Kerli.

I guess I don't really have anything else to say at the moment... but there will for sure be more later!

Peace. I love you

Sorry, I don't really like sharing my first name on the internet. I'm really paranoid, but it's a really rare name so... yeah. :]
High-five for 11!
Yeah... I've only had one boyfriend before and I can't decide if I like this feeling or not. I feel giddy. lol!

Well in numerology 11 would be turned into 2, which in turn is the number of sensitivity. Smile

Jane is my middle name, as well. :3
And the numerology of that is strange how your fav number is 11, and that's pretty much what your name means. Strange coincidence.

@Luna Sweet!
@Natt It's definitely not easy. I think the difficulty level of an instrument is very subjective, because anything is hard when you work at it. You always are trying to make it better. Cello isn't the most hard, but it's not easy, either.

It actually happened through school. Playing a stringed instrument was a requirement, and you could choose among violin, viola, cello, and bass. I thought that cello was a really beautiful instrument. I just love the sound.

It's really cool. ^_^

I'm kind of lacking something to write about right now. But I think I'll mention Parent's Weekend.

Alright so I go to a boarding school, at which I'm a day student. Each trimester we have what's called a 'Parent's Weekend' so that boarders can see their parents and parents can see the school.

First of all, let me say that it is SO fake. We all bust our asses cleaning the school, and then everything is perfectly set up for parents. I guess the school needs their money, though.

Anyways, yesterday we had foreign trip meetings. If I've failed to mention this, I'm going to Chile this April for a month with school. Other trips are going to Tanzania, Bhutan, and Vietnam. Let me just say that I'm SO EXCITED!!! I've never been to Chile, but my mom used to live there. I've also been taking Spanish since I was in kindergarten, so I can get by. But I'm really hoping to get a step closer to fluency in Chile. We just got our itinerary, and I think we're gonna have an awesome time. We're flying into Santiago and then heading south for a service project and a six day trek in Patagonia. Then we're doing another service project back up closer to Santiago. Ahhh I'm so excited!!!

But one bad thing about Parent's Weekend is that my Texan boyfriend went back to Texas. We have Monday and Tuesday off, too.

I wouldn't really say it's 'foreign exchange'. At my school, there's two groups. Skiers and foreign travelers. All winter, the schedule is set up around competitive skiers and snowboarders. They also drop two classes. Now, every Thursday since about November we've had 'foreign trip meetings.' Basically how it works is that you order the trips you want 1-4 and the board decides which trip you will go on. So then you're with a group of about 12 kids going to some foreign country.

It's also always based around service and work. It's not a vacation, though a super awesome opportunity. So, like I said, we'll be doing two service projects and a six-day trek in Patagonia. Very Happy

@LightThruDarkness I know, I'm so unbelievably excited.

@Natt Patagonia is in the very southern part of South America. If you look at a map of chile, it's right around the south tip along the west. Here's a photo:

I haven't been on TOL in awhile. It's Hell Week.

That's what we call Tech Week in the dance theatre. For the past many months, we've all been practicing really hard to perfect our choreography. And tonight, it's finally here. Opening night! Last night was dress rehearsal with a small audience, and tonight is the first official night. We've got four shows: tonight, tomorrow, and two on Saturday. I'm so excited!!! Ah! The dances I'm in aren't the best (not a good judge of what I should audition for) but the whole show is really sick. The theme is movies. I'm in a hip-hop piece inspired by Camila, a belly dance inspired by Alice in Wonderland, and an Irish that my mom choreographed, inspired by the steerage scene in Titanic. There's a few other girls in my school in the show, but it's mostly high schoolers and young women. There's a few guys.

Anyways, I may post pictures after Saturday. Can't ruin the surprise. Wink

Thanks loves I love you

It went awesome!!! I love performing... can't wait for next year. ^_^

So I was going for a hike yesterday... and I came up with an idea. What would I do if I had a day to do whatever the hell I wanted? (within reason)

Here we go: I would sleep in, and then meet my best friend and my boyfriend downtown. Wouldn't really wanna do anything as far as makeup or hair, just throw on some sweats and a tank top and sneakers. Anyways, grab a sandwich at this really awesome sandwich shop and grab some snacks at the health food store, then hike up to the quarry where we would eat our sandwiches. Spend some time there, then maybe run down to my favorite coffee shop and grab a mocha. Then spend the rest of the day at some really sick music festival or free concert or something. Crash somewhere random, and then get up around 6 A.M. to watch the sunrise.

Sounds like a good time to me. What would you do?

Post by JaneLove Thu Mar 31, 2011 7:55 am

Alright, new blog....

I'm finally on Spring Break. Yes, two week Spring Break. Altogether I get six weeks off from school!!! I leave the country in twelve days. I won't be able to come on TOL at all for a month. But I am so frickin excited!!! I get to go to Chile. For a month. And it's mandatory! lol! I will take lots of pictures and show you when I get back.

Anyways, I haven't seen my boyfriend for all of Spring Break... he went back to Texas with his family. We've been texting and Skyping a lot, but it's just not... enough. I miss him so much. And it's only been five days. Eleven more to go. Sighhhh.

On that note, anyone who reads this, please send him good vibes/prayer/whatever to him today. He's going to the doctor to get his kidney checked up on... he only has one. I pray he will be fine. He thinks everything will be, but I just need him to be ok.... if anything happens to him I will be devastated.

Ok, long post already. Just thinking if I have anything else to say... um... nope. I think I'm done.
