Once Scared, Ready To Change

For the longest time, I've followed Kerli. Her great willingness to be different and not fear others thoughts of her always inspired me. She inspired me to the point I've even created my own outfit that is different yet used from items around the house, hopefully I will be able to post a video showing the progress from the basic old dress to the outfit. Never would I thought of such an outfit, nor been daring enough to try it without Kerli, then I heard of her moonchildren. I wanted to join so badly, after all she's been the biggest inspiration to me, so fearless and creative, but I've been so scared for so long.

This is not for pity, just to explain my fears, something bad happened and it was hard for me to trust or love anyone after that. I've always hated it more then anything. I've wanted, and knew deep down, that I was different. Just like Kerli is, however, until Kerli I feared showing it. After all, even being normal I was picked on.

Now turning 16 in 3 months I've realized, I shouldn't fear being different and if I want to be different I have to act upon it. I know I'll always fear the ridicule of others being different. However, I want to do this. So, this is my formal introduction as a fearful moonchild hoping to succeed. Although ever fearfully, my true name will not be given...instead I will give my nickname that I let few close people call me. I hope you can forgive me.

My name is Tora which is Japanese for Tiger, I am turning 16 years old and I live in the Mideast of the United States. I am hoping that I can spread integrity, love, and unity, without fear much as many of you have done. Here's to hoping I can do it without fear one day. Thank you for taking time to read my introduction. Its probably not the best introduction you've ever read, but I tried my best. I hope you have a wonderful day full of love and a happy holiday season.

One thing i've learned here is that the whole theme of being different should be embraced as blessing, of course it pushes us bit further from some people but there's still people like us out there, A LOT. Being different is an good thing haha. So welcome to the family

You know that being diffrent and knowing it s a good thing and that you can t be the same as the others is very healty and good and it makes you more strong and true to your self , don t forget that you have to be true to your self even being diffrent from the others ^^ biodiversty is good !!!
and we were not ment to be the same (I hate pink but i love blue ene loves pink but I m not shore if he likes blue like I love blue ...) and being normal means that you re like the norme and the norme is maide of all the diffrent individuals into one so the norm is to be diffrent from it ... so nobady is normal but the norme is made of everyone ...

I used to be afraid of being different too, but I've felt better about it since I joined this forum. Knowing people who are like me helped me get in touch and feel more comfortable with who I am. We seem to have quite a bit in common!

Sorry this is a late welcome xD I personally think that if you're one of those people trying to get used to showing your real self to the world, ToL is a great place to start. No one here judges or accuses. Everyone is sooo amazingly supportive and willing to overlook mistakes/awkwardness.
