Cosplay ...

Hello ^^
I'm thinking about going to a halloween cosplay which is 30th November I think. Anyway, this is my first cosplay and I'm scared of cosplays, so I think that is the reason why I haven't been in one(sorry for my bad english). I have a friend who said I can borrow some clothes, or she actually said that she might have something that I can borrow^^, And today I asked a friend who has never been in a cosplay either.
So.. When your cosplaying, what do you do? I know your dressed up as something. But do you just sit there and talk? lol (I'm a newbie in cosplaying and such)
Have you been to a cosplay? How does it feel like being in one? (I think this and the first question is kind of the same)
How long does it last?
Help.


I need some help, I really want to go, but I'm freakin' scared. xD I don't know what to dress up as, my creativity ran away in the summer vacation(don't ask why)

what is cosplay? is it like, roleplaying?

^ Kind of, except it's more about dressing up like a certain character. It's most common at Japanese culture conventions, where people dress up as characters from anime or manga.

I'm dressing up for a party this Halloween too, and I've been inspired by Kerli. I'm going as a creepy doll. I'll be wearing a corset top, lacy skirt, bandages with fake blood and black eye makeup. It's kind of a mash-up of her Walking On Air look and that picture Vespertine took of her, where she looks like a wind up doll. Maybe you could do something along those lines, or at least look to some of Kerli's outfits for inspiration. She has a great gothic, creepy sense of style
