I love her CD, I've had the whole thing on repeat! lol And even though I like Katy Perry, Marina's vocal ability is soo much better and her songs have some more meaning in them.

Marina inspired me a lot! Also I love her style and although she doesn't hit every single note [cause she's not a robot], I think she is kinda perfect! Such a beautiful girl with brains

Marina is certainly one of my favourite artists. Can't wait for the another album to come, I've listened to her 1st album to pieces!

Mhmm. She's awesome. She reminds me a lot of Kate Bush at times. Mainly because the songs are so melodramatic and theatrical, not that her voice is Kate-esque. Looking forward to a 2nd cd if she makes one.

I really like her new album. It's really good. Even though it's different from The Family Jewels and it seems a bit more "commercial" it's still Marina (being Electra Heart). Her lyrics aren't built up the same way as in The Family Jewels, but I think she still mananges to really sing about what she (Electra Heart I think xD) wants. Her album has a very different sound than her last. I thought I would like, but actually I really like it. Some of her songs have this "creepy weird" sound to it. (No wonder I like it so much, lol)

I love the album version of "Lies", It's currently my favorite song I also really like "Valley of the Dolls"


(I still haven't bought her album, but I'll be buying it on Saturday, can't wait to hear the deluxe edition songs. I still haven't heard all the songs on her album even though I really want to. I don't want to get sick of the songs before I get the album, that's so typical me xD )

Agreed, different from The Family Jewels but still really good. The only parts that weird me out about are the lyrics in Valley Of The Dolls & the lyrics in Fear & Loathing. Way too many MK Ultra references. Feeling weightless, multiple people living inside of you, etc. Plus, the very end of Fear & Loathing is just disturbing. It literally gives me this distinct "This is evil" sort of feeling. I don't wanna spoil what the creepiness is for those of you who haven't heard it yet but it makes me uncomfortable & very few things do. The bonus tracks are okay. Really like Sex, Yeah from those. Currently hooked on "Teen Idle" however. & mind you I really love Fear & Loathing musically, just the sinister sounding outro & the mind control references in it creep me out. Marina is so talented. Bubblegum Bitch is also awesome. Reminds me of an almost punked out Aqua inspired song lol. Yes, I pirated the album but I'm buying it the second it hits the shelves, I just couldn't deal with waiting an extra week to buy it since it releases later in the US. Very satisfied with the album. Only one that I straight up dislike is Hypocrates. Oh and Power & Control is another awesome one. Okay, shutting up.

I heard her one week ago for the first time and I cant stop listening to her.
My favorite are Primadonna, Homewrecker, Fear and Loathing... I love both originals and acoustic versions <3
She is so cute, and I love her hair and make up and everything about her.

I bought her album in the weekend, and I love it My favorites are Lies, Starring Role, Power & Control and Teen Idle. I also really like Fear and Loathing, and I agree with you Wolfeh that the outro is a bit disturbing.
The song I like the least is probably Valley of The Dolls, I know I earlier wrote that I liked it, but then I hadn't listened to it very well. There's just something about I dislike, I don't know how to put it..

Teen Idle is amazing.
I swear she is so talented, especially with lyrics.
I thought I'd hate the new album when I heard the 30-second snippets, but I love it. It's so different from everything else she's done, but it works.

The acoustic version of Lies makes me cry.

I've liked a couple of songs from "The Family Jewels" for a while now but never really listened to anything else by Marina & the diamonds until yesterday when I decided to download "The Family Jewels" and "Electra Heart". Love them both, great voice and I've been listening to them on repeat since.....
