Honestly I don't know how I feel toward that picture. She said the car was a Vespertine photoshop (duh!) but the first thing I saw in that pic was the gay pride flag then the burning car and I was like..."huh...that's weird...."

I just think the whole flames-and-destruction thing is against what she's been doing with her military theme xD She's supposed to be saving the world with love, not bombs.

Aside from that, it is aesthetically a pretty cool picture.

Ok all I can think of is "WTF?" with that picture. Though it had to be fake if people just walking by like it's nothing. Kerli alone is amazing in the picture, but that burning car doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, it would have been much better with just Kerli. The police van sends a strange message, and aesthetically it's just distracting. This picture seems more powerful to me. It's shows way more pride.

I like the car burning picture, but I understand where complaint comes from. For me, the burning of the police car is like saying no to the law. Currently in Minnesota we are going to be voting if Gay rights should be constitutionally illegal, or illegal. If it becomes constitutional, in order to allow gay rights we'd have to pass two bills instead of one. (One to get it off the constitution, one to legalize it.) There are 41 states who have already done this. So for me it's saying that people who are gay still have the right to love and it's wrong to deny them of it.

I think the picture is visually very cool, but I think that it's a police car is in bad taste. If Brian was photoshopping flames in he should of 'shopped the car a solid color at least.

I was. And I sometimes feel like I still am when people online are mean. It's really lame cause all I care about is making music and getting the most out of my life. For some reason when you make pop music, people wanna create all this drama around u. I hate that. I dislike these super fans that go around and are hurtful to other artists on behalf of their idols. That's why I just really wanna keep it super real with moon children. No hate, man. If I make shit music, I want you to tell me but I'm also gonna tell you if you are being lame. Like this snapshot my friend took of me with the rainbow flag with a burning car. We were messing around after performing at the pride hanging out with some of my best friends that live in San Fran who are insane and we were just having fun. Someone have me a flag and I waved it. Wouldn't u? Now some are commenting that they're disappointed that I've become a political artist and someone is hurt that I'm wearing an American flag jacket. That's so stupid, man. I'm allowed to be silly and just hang out sometimes. You don't have to take apart everything I do. My music belongs to the world but there's a whole part of me that doesn't.
I'm trying my best to inspire but I am also here to have my own human experience, my own lesson to learn and I'm not gonna give that up for any cause.

Well good to know it was just her and Vespertine messing around and nothing more. But a picture says a thousands words, and I don't think Kerli should have been surprised that people would try to interpret that picture more seriously than she meant. She herself tries to pick out the meaning in what she sees.

I agree. Kerli's a public figure, people will interpret what she puts out there. It sucsk and it might not be right but anything she puts out is open to criticism she has to be careful about certain things if she doesn't want to offend people.

I think you're completely right! That's why I don't agree with her comment about:

Her fans know this, but not everyone knows what Kerli is about. She can
easily be misunderstood, and that's sort of the cruel reality artists like her have to deal with sadly...

It really is sad but when are people gonna stop, think, and realize as an artist she does have an image that she wants to project and people want to get sucked into. But in the end, at the end of the day, we are just human. Living one day at a time and I think that is what people should be reminded of.

Aww, cute! :3 One of my friends from high school had a tongue piercing and she always got in trouble because the teachers thought she had gum in her mouth. Our choir teacher got especially pissy with her because you can choke while singing and chewing gum.
