Marilyn Manson?

I'm a HUGE Marilyn Manson fan. I have been for soooooo long. What do you all think of him?

I don't dislike his music.He alway's seemed creepy to me,

He's got some great songs and covers and lyrics.. Sweet Dreams, Personal Jesus, This Is The New Shit, mObscene, Heart-Shaped Glasses, Just A Car Crash Away, The Nobodies... But I think that he also is a bit........ Disgusting.

The Nobodies is one of my fav songs! But yes I can agree.....he can be a bit....disgusting sometimes. But I think he's definitely calmed down a bit since the early years....maybe lol

I love Nobodies! My most favorite song by him nad I love music video for Heart-Shaped Glasses.He seemd a bit creepy for me when I was younger,but now I think he's genius

I've only heard a few songs by him, I like them all ^^

I don't think I've ever not loved the music he puts out. Oh and I hear he's coming out with a new album soon... .....Yea I'm a little over excited about that. Kerli's album and Manson's album are two that I seriouly can't wait for. Oh and Oteps too. But theirs is already out, I just don't have the money to buy it yet

See, I like Manson's music...but it brings me down spiritually and emotionally; the black to Kerli's white. Rather, I like select songs by him; Sweet Dreams, This is Halloween, Personal Jesus, and If I Was Your Vampire. His music legitimately depresses me; it makes me feel....cynical, and dark. Not dark dark, but SCARY dark. Like, set the house on fire just for the fuck of it. Which is no bueno. x.x

Yes I know exactly what you mean. But despite that I still love him and his music. I've always been a pretty dark person and when I listen to his music I feel like I'm not alone in that feeling and that it's ok to feel cynical and hate the world sometimes. For me it's important to have that balance of light and dark, hate and love in my life. It's only natural and you can't have one without the other

Eh. This is true...I'm semi dark. A grey rather than a black, if you will. I just feel lost in between, and would rather feel light and spiritual rather than...I guess egotistic? And dark. Grief and melacholy make a person quite selfish/self absorbed.

Didn't he wrote the This is Halloween song in The nightmare before Christmas?

It's the only song I liked (I actually haven't listen to his other stuff)

No I don't think he wrote....he just did a cover of it.

Interesting point.....I can agree that grief can sometimes make someone self absorbed. But I think that's only when there's a good reason for the grief(death of a loved one for instance). Tends to make people focus on how bad they're feeling and kind of push aside the feelings of others. I totally understand that and I've experienced it.

Yea me too. I kinda miss is his old crazy careless ways. But every artist has to change and evolve.
