The Book of Darkness
Jaylin squeeled when she walked the halls of Moonchild Academy. Kerli had hired the best teachers, as they were persona's of herself. It was a nice, comforting place. The classes were good, she had made a beautiful jacket in Art, it just seemed like a wonderful place where she belonged.
But no, she belonged in the library. She had accepted the role as librarian, and while young, she had no breaks. Heading back to her room she stopped to talk to some friends. Mimi was so beautiful, as always. When she stood next to Elisabeth the two just seemed to sparkle with light.
Elisabeth was amazing. Her natural beauty shined so gallantly. Her soft face and shining white teeth, they were gorgeous. And oh how she could sing. After hearing her you'd think she was the last song bird on the Earth. Such a beautiful, light voice.
Jaylin walked into her own room and looked in her mirror. Was her own beauty as immense as her friends? Maybe, maybe not. She was slightly different. Ever since owning the library she was busy. She usually wore a black sweatshirt, a dark pair of jeans, and minimal make up. Her hair was pulled in a sloppy braid. She had beauty, but it was a darker beauty. A subtle beauty. She smiled and walked away from the mirror.
It was time for another book. She looked at the many choices on her bookcase and then found the Book of Darkness. How perfect! She smiled and went to her bed to read- Wait. No. This is the book of Darkness, isn't it? She should read it somewhere dark!
She knew just the spot. She walked to the very back room of the library, where the oldest books were kept. No one visited there, ever. She lit a candle and sat in a corner and began to read when the candle went out.
"Wh-Who's there?" She called out. "Caroline?" Yes, it was Caroline. The new librarian. She wanted to see all the books in the library and came here. It made perfect sense. Although, she wasn't responding...
"Caroline, this is NOT funny!"
No response.
Jaylin gulped and decided to leave. She stood up in the totally black room and began to feel for a bookcase. She searched and searched, but nothing was there. She looked around her and could not see a thing. She looked down and- and she could. Her book was completely visible. But it did not produce light. She could not see anything but it. She gasped and sat down again to read it. Maybe when she finished it would bring her back. She could only hope.

Re: The Book of Darkness
Darkness by Mimi
I surround you
I cover you
I smother you
Don't light a match
Or turn on the light
My beauty is hard to catch
When you're putting up a fight
I can be soft and tender
Im there when you can't remember
From pale to dark I grow
There are secrets that I hold
I hold you
I cradle you
I break you
I am your emptiness
I am the darkness
I surround you
I cover you
I smother you
Don't light a match
Or turn on the light
My beauty is hard to catch
When you're putting up a fight
I can be soft and tender
Im there when you can't remember
From pale to dark I grow
There are secrets that I hold
I hold you
I cradle you
I break you
I am your emptiness
I am the darkness

Re: The Book of Darkness
Paranoia by TheLastSongBird
The night has never known such malice.
Darkness with her deadly shroud drowns the land.
Blazing lights,
Glimmering golden through the black,
Dance with hidden demons in the dark.
Breaths quicken,
My heart beats on borrowed time,
As eyes burn like ice into my neck.
Around me, all things are united, confused,
Until I see sound,
Feel shadows.
Shivering in my world of silence and hopelessness,
Glancing behind me,
Forsaken in the night,
I see merely the shadows;
They whisper,
Taunt me in a twisted tongue unknown.
Always in wait...
the all-consuming Darkness.
The path of shifting silhouettes
Pulls me into the blackness,
Each quivering breath my last
quiet comfort.
The night has never known such malice.
Darkness with her deadly shroud drowns the land.
Blazing lights,
Glimmering golden through the black,
Dance with hidden demons in the dark.
Breaths quicken,
My heart beats on borrowed time,
As eyes burn like ice into my neck.

Always in wait...

The path of shifting silhouettes
Pulls me into the blackness,
Each quivering breath my last
quiet comfort.

Re: The Book of Darkness
Blood and Fears by Poetic
No silver moon will translate.
I speak only for you.
Though you don't understand,
I know my words ring true.
A dark and painful memory.
A dark and painful past.
Though it seems to be over
How long can it last?
Cornered, cornered.
Wherever you go.
The light is fading
As the curtains close.
An empty shadow
Walks your way
Because he's bored
And wants to play.
Darkness surrounds you
And a black cat nears
Preparing you
For Blood and Fears.
My claws are ready,
To do the deed.
I can not wait
To watch you bleed.
Ei ole suuremat rõõmu.

Re: The Book of Darkness
Child of the Dark by Iridescent_Revival_<3
Look up, child
The moon is out
Illuminating the night with its song
Look up, child
The trees still grow
Stretching up, reaching for a cause
Look up, child
The pixies gather
Around a purifying fire of success
Look up, child
You will join them
Laughing their praises for the darkness
Though he confiscates a single sense
The magic still fills your very last breath
Though I kiss away the confined sight
You shall be saved by the gift of love’s flight
Carry on
Skipping along
No path could be made any clearer
Than the one you walk now through the forest
With Raphael leading the way
Darkness is the distant goal
Calling you, child
Softly calling you home
Look up, child
The moon is out
Illuminating the night with its song
Look up, child
The trees still grow
Stretching up, reaching for a cause
Look up, child
The pixies gather
Around a purifying fire of success
Look up, child
You will join them
Laughing their praises for the darkness
Though he confiscates a single sense
The magic still fills your very last breath
Though I kiss away the confined sight
You shall be saved by the gift of love’s flight
Carry on
Skipping along
No path could be made any clearer
Than the one you walk now through the forest
With Raphael leading the way
Darkness is the distant goal
Calling you, child
Softly calling you home
