New Kerli album 2016

 

Chemical is the only song she's ever released that she made completely by herself (correct me if I'm wrong)... it'll be interesting to see some electronic music produced by K herself.

Someone with Facebook needs to ask her for a line from one of her recent songs...

I think she produced Saima & Dragonfly on her own as well, if you can call those "releases"

Before Utopia got out I was kind of hoping that Kerlis new music would sound something like her cover of nature boy. I was completely in love with that cover. Now I really don't know what to expect. Some dark electronic stuff would be nice, but judging by her new collaborations, I doubt that. I'm still looking forward to her new stuff. Written by her.

I agree, It would be very nice if she did some Dark electronic music. I'M kind doubting she will go back to her darker sounds.

She said yes when someone asked if there would be more songs like Keep It Close.

What? She just wants to release them sporadically? That seems a little frustrating. I love the concept of albums; it's like the artist telling a story through their music.

She doesn't want to release a full album. Just singles.

I don't like this idea at all. I want a freaking full album. We've been waiting like for years for one. I hope she changes her mind.


I mean to release a EP with some songs. That i wouldn't mind. But i don't want a just a few songs each year.

I loooove the concept of albums... I agree it's nice to be able to compile songs to tell a story. I'd be so upset if we ended up getting biannual singles.

I guess it would be ok if she released EPs like what Seven Lions does (that seems to be what quite a few electronic artists do) but single after single would be awful.

She has changed A LOT... not only as an artist, but as a person as well... does anyone think so too?

I don't know why, but I feel like she used to care more about her fans... I'm not saying that she doesn't anymore, but she just doesn't seem as loving as she used to. Maybe thats just me... I hope it is actually.

To be honest, I'M starting to like Kerli a lot less now. She changed to much in my eyes. She doesn't seem like the same person to me anymore. I agree with what your saying. I thought with the new label she be pushing out albums. I guess i won't be hoping for a new album.

A thing about kerli that bugs me is. She say's one thing then turns around and say's something else again. I miss the old kerli so much.

Glad i'm not the only one who feels this why. I guess you could say maybe Kerli's becoming a dive?

I asked her on Twitter.

She'll definitely have some darker songs coming, but who knows when. Umm I think she's happy and living her life? And you know that people grow up and change all the time, and luckily things seem to be going better for her. She still posts and talks a lot with fans/moonchildren on fb. But maybe she'll try harder if she sees you feel this way?? idk I think she cares about you. She has responded to similar posts too.

I think she cares but she's not ready and wants it to be perfect. But they've had a single ready since November...

I understand that people grow & change. But i just don't really like how she changed. I just wish she would just stick to what she say's she is going to do. Instead of changing her mind daily.

I think she cares still, but not in the why she did before. I' glad her life is happy and she's in a better place now. I really do. Just can't really help how i feel.

Maybe the newer fans don't see it. I think the fans who liked her from the start may see a huge change in her.

I just noticed that she kind of seemed more down to earth/loving in the myspace era. Compared to the FB/Twitter era.

I like the way that she's changed in some ways. I feel like her spiritual growth has been incredible and whenever she does share her journey with us she offers some really insightful thoughts. I just think there's a little less... openness now. Sure, she responds to comments on FB, which is nice, but the vast majority of her blog isn't actually about her spiritual interactions or anything like that. If anything, we get a few snippets on Instagram, but not a lot of explanation. And there's no more Iced Coffee videos!

There's just a separation now between "artist" and "fans," whereas it used to feel like we were all just moonchildren and that was that.

Me too!  She said she was overdue.  Hopefully we get a video chat soon. I've actually never participated in a video chat but I'd love to. I always either miss them or don't have the necessary social media to get on.

Btw I've also been there from the start and I know she's changed, but I think that's good you know: I feel like it's normal to talk more about life and living while you're young to figure stuff out and connect with others, whereas now that she's older she can live and enjoy life more and move forward with it bc she has more of a sense of self now, as in she's more wise and confident??? So maybe therefore less spiritual chats and talks. But yeah she needs to catch up with those, bc otherwise that whole moonchild spiel loses it's meaning and it's just fans u know?

The only thing about her that irks me is how tight-lipped she is... I love her "do no harm, but take no shit" attitude.

Don't forget that the live chats got pretty messy as her fan base got bigger. There were always so many trolls and people copying&pasting, "OMG come to *insert country/state/province*". I don't think we'll ever be able to have the small intimate live chats where she replied to every comment. I also agree about formspring. That use to be so fun before people used it to just troll and make comments about Gaga.

I forgot about that part. Yes that was annoying.

To be honest, I don't believe we will be getting new music this year. (2014) It's just a empty promise to us fans. Think she only said it to shut us up. I honestly don't care what  K713 means anymore. I don't want to know either.

Your right all she does is writing music. Think she enjoys doing that more then putting out music. lol

so just to recap, some very important things we were told about kerli’s new music in the twitter chat:

new music before 2015 is 100% certain

the new music is gonna be electronic but moody and introverted, “not EDM”

an album is uncertain, but an EP is for sure and there will be at least one single before the EP

kerli loves the “crazy ritual shit” she wrote in bali, she didnt specify if it was for her or not

the new music will be “more intricate” than what’s on the radio

new music will “be a lot better than the old stuff.”

the army of love movement may be continued if she writes a song that feels like aol part 2 and releases it as a single

she’s collaborating currently with sethhsound (Iiris’ producer) and Phutureprimitive

I'M not really sure how i feel about all this news. I should feel excited and happy but just can't. Seems her label is cheating us out of full albums.

I will give her new music a chance. Even tho I'M not to pleased in the direction her music is going. I guess getting a EP is better then noting.
