This project seems like it's going to be something truly beautiful, I can't wait to see everyone's designs and descriptions If anyone does want my help with their card description, I'll run what I've written by each person before the deadline starts to loom to make sure they're happy with it.

^i put the deadline in the middle of November so that we'd have plenty of time to go over the written bits!

My word was Wisdom, and I just wonder if anyone has a strong idea/opinion on what Wisdom is:-)? Or if anyone know any interesting quotes about wisdom! I think wisdom can be so many things so I will try to get as many perspectives on it as possible before I make the card:star: :-)

well, if you want a common design on each element card, you could use i-loo, ( just a thought)

I'm just a little confused by what to do with my word,Wind.I'm a little worried it might be the same as Air.
Asking because I'm a bit bogged down with college work and I might have the time to do it or I might not have the time.

Well, to me, air could describe lightness, a weight being lifted or breathing easy. Wind could be tailwind, unseen forces pushing you in the right direction, like a ship on the right course :)

Does someone has some ideas about ice?

Wind to me can be the bringer of changes. sweeping away the old and bringing in the new.

well think about it this way - you're giving kerli a message with the card; why did she pull out that card? everything has a meaning so find the meaning to your card.

but don't just describe who/what angels are, that's not the aim.

BTW I've donne my conceptual work on Kitsune it's going to be 5 tailled Kitsune with all 5 chinese traditional éléments (Metal Water Wood Fire Earth ) in a méditational "nirvana" possition and with the symbole of moon/light/sun on his head/heart ... Now I'm just doing some fox head croquies so I could make the most realistic fox (accurate), then I'll work on the body possition and then the contrasts (make evrything that is more dark with ink (idealisticly on an other paper ) and try to get all the colors and greys into it in a very elegent/sober way in and have the power of an realistic drawing ...)

It's going to be a UTOPIC drawing xD

Hi guys, I am making my card "ELF".
I was just wondering if you have any ideas for the affirmation, and what does the elf mean to you?

The affirmation should match the meaning of the card if that is of any help.

for example if the meaning of your card is 'you cant seem to clear your head because you are going through changes', the affirmation could be 'i trust the universe to give me guidance'

i'm about to start my 'Magic' card and i have loads of directions to go in...should i go for a more traditional approach (add old magic symbols) or something like interpreting 'spiritual growth'?

the best thing would be to ask an elf, such as me! i'm elvenkin, so as first hand i should know. you can go two ways.
for the affirmation, it should reflect the meaning. so summarize it.

So when you draw a card its supposed to guide you or help you with whatever question you have asked for the cards to answer. So the description of the card should be an answer to a question, so the easiest way to think about it - what answer is your card giving a person? it should be something more generic because if, for example, a person asks 'should I trust this person?' and the card gives an answer of 'i recognize the loyalty of being an elf', it doesn't really work..

but anyway, do what you can guys and Lizzie and I will go through them all.

Any thoughts for "The Universe"? I do have some stuff written down, I just want to hear what others think :3 Especially since I'm way too down-to-earth...

i have tarot cards.
and i was just giving an example..not at all a legitimate thing. just an example.

Well, the example in the "Booklet" topic has "I am positive and strong" as an affirmation which wouldn't really work for the question of "should I trust this person?" either so that might be a little confusing. Staying away from "I" statements would help generalize a lot. The affirmations for my steampunk tarot deck are things like "the triumph of will in difficult circumstances" and "leaving something behind in search of something else."

I'm not sure how the instructions will go, but for me Tarot is a lot more effective when the questions asked are more about requesting guidance for a situation or "how can I" questions. "Should I" and "yes or no" questions tend to not be as accurate because it doesn't involve a more personal interpretation.

I still want to be a part of this, but I'm nervous I'm doing this wrong since I'm using card stock... when you said the card/letter stuff, was that what you meant?
