Re: Utopia
My top few will be Supergirl, Speed Limit, and Chemical, I can't rank them in terms of which one i love most.
But number 4 will be Love Me Or Leave Me.

4-Love me or leave me
5-Sugar (even though i don't really like it,but it's not a typical dance song as most of the others)

My honest opinion is that Kerli already buried bubblegoth, if you think about it she doesn't talk about it anymore :3

I could careless about the placement of her music, I just like the songs in general. Personal faves are Kaleidoscope, Last Breath and Here & Now

Re: Utopia
So far I have heard can't control the kids and sugar and the only thing that bugs me is how edited Kerli sounds. They really didn't need to do it and she doesn't need it at all.
Edit: Ok I gave in and listened to love me or leave me and I am glad not every song is going to sound edited. So nice to hear her natural voice

Re: Utopia
I don't really care about "bubblegoth" as long as the album is decent, tbh.
I like the album whether it's bubblegoth or not. And who are we to say it's bubblegoth, when Kerli INVENTED bubblegoth?
Anyway, I love all of the songs.

Although, I want the dance version of Chemical. The piano is pretty but it's too raw for me.

She defines bubblegoth as making dark things beautiful and beautiful things dark. There is nothing dark on this album. Her 'bubblegoth' was sooooooooooo unique, now her music is plain pop. I'm not saying it's a bad album, it's just so... idk.
I'm sure she can do better than this.
I'm just hoping that her label is not 'forcing' her to write these pop songs in order to sell the album. That would suck.
Re: Utopia
I'm sorry but has she really ever released anything "bubblegoth"?

Re: Utopia
^ Walking on Air did a pretty good job of walking the line between dark and light, though that may be moreso with the video rather than just the song itself.
I always thought the term bubblegoth was a bit stupid and a bit of silly compromise between her two styles, but now that the dark elements are completely gone from her music, I'm really missing them and kind of wishing she'd found a way to marry the two.

Re: Utopia
I don't think this album would bring her worldwide fame and popularity. Yeah, some of the songs could become hits like e.g. Here and Now, but overall the album sounds really dull for me.

Re: Utopia
^I agree with you.
It isn't a bad album, some of the songs are actually great. But they don't really get me as much as Love is Dead did. I really hope that some of the songs in the leaked album, won't actually be there on the real thing.

oh, now it's the clothing line only? she really sounds confused lately.
her label should show some support otherwise it's all gonna go even crappier than it already is.

Re: Utopia
To be honest it sounds like Kerli doesn't really know what direction she wants to go in. One minute she wants her album to be bubblegoth so there is a mixture for old and new fans to listen to. Now she wants it to be her clothing line?
I agree I hope her label supports her properly this time around.

Re: Utopia
While describing the sound of your second album, you coined the term, “BubbleGoth.” Can you please elaborate a little bit about what you mean by that?
Actually “BubbleGoth” is more about fashion than it is about music. But to me, it stands for the coming together of things that don’t usually go together. There’s always a dark element but then there’s also always a light, beautiful element that I try to mix with it. Even if you listen to “Zero Gravity” and the next single to come, there are always two polarities. I really, really enjoy playing with polarities in everything I do.
Re: Utopia

Re: Utopia
Like the concept of "MoonChildren", that changed a lot too. Make up your mind Kerli. Don't just throw words at people only to change their meaning afterwards a couple of times. Or change the singles or keep changing the entire album. Make a decision and go with it.

Bubblegoth. Really love the style, but some really looks bad. Like the NOH8 red carpet. Sorry Kerli, I love you but no. Music wise, I have no idea of an example for Bubblegoth.

That's so confusing, considering that she's said in several interviews that bubblegoth came from a critic describing LiD as not being goth and if anything, was "bubble-goth." She said that after hearing the critic describe her music that way, she thought it was the perfect description. Now it's got little to do with music? I wonder if the definition has changed because of the new album.

Re: Utopia
I see no dark in either songs.I see no dark in the new album.I don't see any song on it that matches the dark goth feel to it on love is dead. All her new songs all sound the same to me. Just dance stuff.Different lyrics.I always thought that too about "Bubble goth" Being the type of music she is doing. So now she changes her story. *Shakes head*I like the idea of "bubble goth" being about music. Not about clothing line.

Re: Utopia
I think she should of kept the bubblegoth theme with her album. Infact when will she even release her clothing line? We had to wait ages for her album so how long will it be when the clothing line arrives? I get the feeling that will probably change too lol

Re: Utopia
I'm not sure if any of you have direct contact with Kerli, but this needs to be passed along.
I was looking for Youtubes of some of the new songs andsomeone named Rima Milina has a link in YT to download the entire CD. It's done through
a 3rd party link (I assume offshore).

Re: Utopia
Finally heard the studio version of "Can't Control The Kids" and i had goosebumps! AMAZING! Still thought the dubstep part could have been 'harder' (i mean the real dubstep while she sings "bassdrum overload... your decision...", not the breakdown after the verses)
i'm still not sure if i should listen to the other songs and download the leaked album. I would feel so bad but on the other hand i'm so nervous to finally hear the full thing

Re: Utopia
When you go to the leak link, it askes for your email and tons of crap. You're setting yourself up for spam and scam.
I would avoid that and wait for the real version and just buy it.

Omg yes, Marco Marco was amazing. Her clothes back then were quite good only recently, the mermaid dress at the NOH8 was just too much for me.
