Kerli will be collaboration with Lime Crime?

A few days ago Lime Crime asked fans of Facebook what they think about their collaboration with Kerli.

And, today I saw that one person on tumblr wrote about it more:

So, if you read the examiner thread last night, I called Xenia out on leaving this comment about Amy while checking out this blog:

Oh no! It looks as though Kerli just deleted Sugarpill from her Facebook “Likes” and added Lime Crime instead. Hasn’t Amy been going around bragging that Sugarpill was Kerli’s official makeup brand? How embarrassing that Kerli wants nothing to do with Sugarpill now. Maybe Amy tried to play up their closeness for more than it really was, and Kerli got tired of it. I hope Amy doesn’t feel too bad, considering Izzy Hilton also dropped his association with Sugarpill to collaborate with Lime Crime. Dropped by two friends in one week, that’s got to sting!

Judging from the comments on the Examiner thread, it looks like it was an intentional move. If Kerli wants to work with Lime Crime, that’s her call but I don’t think doing the same type of contest that another company (whether or not it was Sugarpill) did a few months ago is a smart move.

kerli mentioned like a week or 2 ago in one of her tweets .. or a video or smth that there will be a competition with lime crime soon.

Eh. I'm not too thrilled about this. I've heard a lot of shady things about Lime Crime...If she did in fact drop Sugarpill for Lime Crime, I'll be pretty disappointed.

Really? The owner does have issues and stole some ideas, that I know, but a sucky product? I rather take others word for it than paying over 20 bucks for a lipstick. I honestly don't know what's up with Kerli flip flopping like that, maybe a business situation or personal. Oh well.

I think with make-up it is just who makes the best offer with best terms. Probably her contract with sugarpill just ended and limecrime made a better offer. This is how artists make money( promoting companys) and also with tours.

i doubt Kerli had an official contract with Sugarpill I think she was just helping a friend.

So if Limecrime DID offer any sort of official contract with free makeup or to get money for Kerli then Im sure she is take it.

I'd purchased some of it before knowing anything about the brand & it wasn't as advertised. I was glad to not have bought more of it when I read reviews of stuff. :shrugs:
It's all definitely overpriced. The eyeshadow is a ripoff because it was repackaged stuff with the price jacked way up [AFAIK it still is] but there are a lot of indie companies that do that.

Do not waste your money on this.
The lipstick was terrible quality. It wasn't bright at all, and took several applications to even look decent, and I use decent lightly.
The quality was like that of a halloween/costume lipstick. It's smudgy, never even, it dries out your lips and stains them. And the packaging.... cute. If you're still 4 years old.

^I like the packaging, so that part I wouldn't care about.

was able to find almost dead on color matches to each of them, ruling out the much touted concept that they were unique and that no other company was making theses colors.
They are really expensive for a mediocre formula.

&there's lots more if you search Google. I would never support a company like that, knowing how she's treated her customers.

I bought Lime Crime a while ago and tried it once, it basically sits in my makeup box as a pretty decoration because it's terrible crap :/

last time i looked at their website, it was $160 for about 10 lipsticks! that's a bit stupid really. sugarpill have very vivid colours, i like the sound/look of them better.

All the lipstick colors that they have from Limecrime, I can easily find them in the drugstore with more funky colors and cost way less. Sugarpill eyeshadow is another story. I barely find any eyeshadow with lovely colors in any store, and if I do, they cost alot more with not much product. They are just basic. I love sugarpill that much. Just my opinion. The sugarpill colors are sometimes too bold for me.

I have been reading things about Lime Crime and Doe Deere for a few days about one week before this collaboration came out, so I was shocked when I learned that.
Kerli and Doe Deere are so much unlike (I can almost say Kerli is kindness incarnated, whereas Doe Deere is not the most honest person I have ever seen), I can't understand how it is happening.

It's good to know others aren't thrilled with the idea of Kerli working with Lime Crime. I've also read a lot of negative things about their products. I like Sugarpill, although I don't know Kerli was ever really under contact or just helping a friend. Honestly it sounds like 2 friends fighting and 'unliking' each other of fb in anger or something

that's why friends should never do bussin together.

IIRC, Kerli&Amy didn't know each other before & Kerli wanted to work with Sugarpill because she liked the product or something? I could be way off.
I wonder if Sugarpill is no longer "Liked" because Xenia (of Lime Crime) wouldn't allow it? Some of her drama was hating on Sugarpill for being a good product or something like that. I dunno.

I wouldn't buy make-up brand just cause my fav singer likes it. If it's a bad brand don't waste money. Hope fans don't buy it just to support her.

^I read some of the articles and comments on the links and I see why if Kerli is being payed by Lime Crime why she would have had to unlike Sugarpill. I read multiple people claim Lime Crime's creator used to make cheap copies of Amy's Shrinkle clothing line.

I will never buy Lime Crime products no matter who endorses it. I know that you can't believe everything you read on the internet but this isn't one or two naysayers, it's more like everyone. They only positive things come from people who got free products or seem to be friends and it seems like the brand has a history of being sketchy

That's how I feel. Way to many people are complaining about LC. It's not just one or two people.

I wonder if people are not buying LC stuff anymore really because on a website I shop at a lot they are selling LC products for 40% off which is quite a bit of a discount.

Wow. That's crazy.

It's like the bad against the good. (Sugarpill = good, because their producs aren't THAT expensive, they don't lie about their products, good products Lime Crime = Bad, because i've heard their products aren't that good, expensive, lies about shit).
