Love leads us to a home

All the broken pieces fell into place
when love found its place with me
it was not an easy task more of a crash
of two minds that paused to help each
other to pick up the pieces
I'd loved before never so pure a past
condemned to a tide of memories
I did not know what to do at first not wanting to make
the same mistakes over and over a gift
so precious should be handled with care
something that took time to realise
We took it slow and learned trust again
love should be full of surprises not disguises
We shared everything without objective
if we fell it was to stand strong
we looked and listened to the world together
with soundtrack in hand
given time maybe we will grow old together
years on me and my love now has bears a new gift
looks like our loves grown to a family tree
myself a child lost in time replaced by a child of my own
lifes seldom been so kind and am so greatful
love is a meeting of the minds in a world thats out of control
i will never leave my love not even in death my soul has been joined
with hers and our children will walk after our shadows have fallen
in a new light
